Lesson Plan in ENGLISH 4

IV. Procedures
A. Review of previous /Presenting New lesson
1. Preliminary Activities
- Greetings( Community Song) and checking of attendance
- Review (ICT Integration)
The learners will identify the sentences and they will choose subject or
predicate. They will encode the words “SUBJECT”and “PREDICATE”to
indicate their answer.

B. Establishing the Purpose of the Lesson


1. Motivation:
Game: “BRING ME” – there will be 4 groups and 4 group flag so the star
points will be put there.
House Rules before the game:
1. Listen Carefully
2. Be kind to others
3. Respect
4. Earned a best friend
a. Bring me something that is in your bag
b. Bring something that is found under your tables or chairs
c. Bring something that you see on my desk
d. Bring me a drawing of anything that you can see above the board.
Ask: what attitude did you develop if you bring the things you need in school even it
feels so heavy? - Perseverance

C. Presenting New Example/Instances


They will read the sentence presented.

1. Where did the family load the cat? –The family loaded the cat in the car.

2. What did the boy feel when he saw the cat named Tubby in his room? -
The boy was surprised when he saw Tubby in his room

3. Where did tubby slept?- Tubby slept on Andy’s bed

4. Where did Andy put his cap? – Andy put his cap on the hook above the mirror.
5. After a few days, Tubby started sleeping under Andy’s bed.

D. Discussing New Concepts and presenting New Skills #1


E. Guided Practice ( P.E. Integration)
There will be a game called “HUNT and SAY”. There will be pictures or words
hidden under their tables. They will hunt those pictures and they will make a
sentence using those words or picture.
F. Finding Practical Applications of Concepts ( Abstraction of the lesson)
Collaborative Learning
Group 1- You will draw situations showing the different prepositions that you have
learned and write sentences about each situation. (ARTS INTEGRATION)

Group 2- Act it out. Have a dialogue using the prepositions in, on, under and above.
(ARTS INTEGRATION and PE INTEGRATION)

Group 3- Make a song using the prepositions in, on, under and above. (MUSIC
INTEGRATION)

G. Generalization:
What are prepositions?
When will we use on? in? under? above?
V. Evaluation

Read and understand the sentence carefully and answer the questions directed.

1. Her mother told her to put her things ____ the cabinet. What preposition will you
put? In, on, above, under?
2. Our teacher advised us to stay under our chair when an earthquake occurs.
What is the preposition used in the sentence?
3. What is wrong in the sentence? Pick out the word that made the sentence
incorrect and replace it to make it correct. My little brother hangs his picture in
the television set.
4.
Make a sentence using the picture presented.

VI. Assignment
Pretend that you are going to promote our country’s beauty spots to motivate
tourists from different countries to visit our country. Remember to use the
prepositions in, on, under and above. Do this in a short bond paper.
