    alccobond (TB) is a polymer modified Technical Data


    cementitious mortar especially suitable for AAC
    block / Fly Ash / Hollow Block masonry. When Item Description Test Results
    mixed with water it results in a mix which is quite Type Polymer Modified Thin bed Mortar -
    Internal/ External Use
    pliable and can be applied in layers and then Appearance Greyish Granular Powder
    finished into level surface. It is composed of
    Bulk Density 1.80 – 2.1 gm/ml
    cement, carefully selected fine aggregates and
    Water Mixing Ratio 20 - 25% (can vary based on climatic
    polymer additives. It can be used for both internal conditions)
    as well as external applications in following Wet Density 1.9 - 2.2 gm/cc
    proportions. Application < 35°C
    Temperature
    Product Features Pot Life 90 mins [ min 30 min. @ 30°C -can
    vary based on climatic conditions]
    1. Excellent bond to base concrete or masonry. Typical Thickness 3-4 mm in Single Layer
    2. Thin 3-4mm Layer is equivalent to 12 mm of Dry adhesion ≥ 0.3 N/mm2

    Mixing and Application Safety

    1. Mix alccobond (TB) mortar (mechanical mixer The use of dust masks, safety goggles, and gloves
    preferable) with 20-25% water in the mixer is recommended
    continuously for 2 mins to form a
    homogeneous uniform mix
    2. Allow the mixture to stand for polymers to
    dissolve
    3. Remix again for 2-3 mins
    4. Apply the mortar in layers not thicker than 3-
    4 mm with notch trowel
    5. Complete any realignment if required within
    10 Mins
    6. After application allow it to dry for 1 day

    Precautions

    1. Do not mix excessively , use material


    immediately after mixing
    2. Strictly follow water-powder ratio as
    specified.
    3. Before applying ensure that the blocks are
    cleaned , free from dust, loose particles and
    oil and sprinkled with water

    Curing

    Not required
