CALA CONTEXT

The teacher observed that there is a rise in weather related hazards in Zimbabwe. These
have led to an increase in infrastructure destruction (roads, buildings, bridges and
communication lines), environmental degradation as well as well as deaths of both humans
and wildlife. As a learner you are required to identify the different weather hazards
affecting Zimbabwe, their effects as well as writing down measures which have been taken
by the government of Zimbabwe and communities so far in trying to mitigate the effects of
weather hazards.

Background

It has been observed that there is a rise in weather related hazards in Zimbabwe. These
have led to an increase in infrastructure destruction (roads, buildings, bridges and
communication lines), environmental degradation as well as well as deaths of both humans
and wildlife. As a learner you are required to identify the different weather hazards
affecting Zimbabwe, their effects as well as writing down measures which have been taken
by the government of Zimbabwe and communities so far in trying to mitigate the effects of
weather hazards.

communities in Zimbabwe.
 Identify the effects (include areas pictures showing areas that have been affected by
