6.4.1 Disassembly

6.4.2 Lubrication

6.4 Pressure Switch Cup Seal


The Cup Seal must not be overlooked when lubricating the “O”
rings. The Cup Seal should be lubricated every year and
replaced every two years or sooner. Lightly lubricate the Cup
Seal by performing the procedure below.

3 Shipping Box Contents 6 Maintenance

5 Licensing Requirements 4 Operation


The AS-900A can not be used without a valid ARGOS service
agreement and valid ARGOS ID. The user is responsible for 4.1 Quick Start

900A. Install the unit in a location that will ensure that at the
surface the antenna will be vertical and well out of the water.
Keep the whip antenna clear of metal obstructions. Nearby
metal can scatter or block some of the RF energy and reduce the
strength of the signal transmitted.

4.2.1 Antenna
The AS-900A is supplied with two ½ wave whip antenna, part no.
AN-901. Install one on the stud on the top of the antenna base
and secure finger tight only — do not use a wrench.

The ½ wave antenna has a critical small zinc anode attached


near its base to protect it from corrosion. Replace the antenna
when the zinc anode is wasted.
