Experiment # 02
To study and verify the truth table of logic gates
Objective:
To study and verify the truth table of logic gates and to identify various ICs and their
specifications
1. OR gate
2. AND gate
3. NAND gate
4. NOR gate
5. NOT gate
6. X-OR gate

Apparatus List:
1.Breadboard
2.Connecting Wires
3.IC 7400, IC 7408, IC 7432, IC 7402, IC 7404, IC 7486
4.Trainy Board

Procedure and/or Design Methodology:


 Set up the breadboard.
 First of all check all the components if they are working properly.
 Test all required ICs.
 Insert appropriate ICs into the IC base.
 Make connections properly.
 Give various combinations of inputs and check the output.on output LEDs.
 Repeat the procedure for each IC.
 At last verify the truth table of each logic gate.
Results:

Simulation:
Conclusion:
In this experiment, We verified the truth table of logic gates and identify various ICs and
their specifications by placing them appropriate on bread board and with integrated circuits. I
tested the output voltage of the breadboard circuits using the multi-meter, and ensured the

results corresponded with the truth table of the logic gate tested. Students learn how to
follow the lab manual, how to use the breadboard, how to use the equipment in the lab, and
how to properly design and test a circuit
