LESSON PLAN IN CREATIVE WRITING

Grade Level: 11 Track & Strand: HUMSS


Teacher: Sir Manuel Antonio C. Eslao III Semester: Second

Date: February TOPIC: Creating Online Portfolio


11, 2022 COMPETENCY:
Learning 1. identify terms related to online portfolio;
Resources: 2. explain the difference between blog and Facebook;
SLMs, Slide 3. produce outputs for online portfolio (a suite of poems, a full and
share, Google completed short story or a script for a one-act play);
4. create an online portfolio (or group blog) on the outputs produced in
poetry, creative fiction, and script applying ICT skills or any appropriate
multimedia forms.

1. Collaborate with the parents of the learner on the schedule and


availability of the necessary materials for the learner to use on his/ her
Preparations online class.
2. Design a module that highlights the learners’ interests and skills and
that not simply localize and limit the learner in a general set up.
3. Instruct the learner and his family to prepare his needs and
requirements before the online class.
Preliminaries 1. Instruct the learner to take their breakfast, do some exercise and
locate a cozy and quiet place for their online class.
2. Instruct the learner and family to keep a notebook by their side for
documentation.
LEARNING PROMPT
In the original Lesson Plan. Learners are tasked to identify the names
of relevant websites through their logos via a PowerPoint Presentation.

Activity For Gifted learners: They are tasked to create their own website
based on the preferred skills and interests
i.e.: The learner is skilled in visual arts and may design a website
header or logo.

For Disabled Learners: They are tasked to create a short listing of


their opinions or experiences with assistance from their parents on the
usage of the websites.
i.e. : What ae your experiences on using Tiktok?
LEARNING PROMPT
The learners will answer a series of questions through a
collaborative online discussion. They will share their thoughts on
the following:

For Gifted Learners:


Analysis As an owner of a Website, how will you advertise it according to your
interests and skills?

For Disabled Learners:


The teacher and the learner can share on the importance of having
these websites and how it can contribute to the daily lives of people.
i.e.
How do blogs increase the number of people engaging in travelling?

LESSON PROPER
Discuss the following concepts from the SLM:
1. What is a Blog?
2. What is the Purpose of a blog?
3. What is a Website?
4. What differentiates blogs from Websites?
5. What is the difference between a domain and a website?
Abstraction
For Gifted Learners:
Have learners identify the design concepts and theme of the blogs and
relate to how they contribute into pulling their audiences to read them
throughout the lesson.

For Disabled Learners:


Have learners picture themselves as bloggers and throughout the
lesson, design a three-part blog inclusive of the header, body and
sample idea that is in line with their interests:
i.e.: Learner is interested in food hence a cooking blog.

CREATIVE TASK
The learners are given 20 minutes to prepare for their task. The
learners are tasked to deliver a sales pitch of their blog for future
readers or investors that contains the following parts:
1. The purpose of the blog
2. The overall theme
3. The sample tag line
Application For Gifted Learners:
They can present their skills through the following:
1. Drawing: A quick sketch of the blog lay out;
2. Singing: A song that serves as an opening commercial to their blog;
3. Creative Writing: An introduction or an abstract that describes their
blog;
4. Dancing: A quick dance that is in line with their initial ideas which
will serve as an element to their blog video;
5. Speech: A voice over to their blog’s introduction that is directed to
invite more readers and viewers/ a vlog that will be incorporated in their
task.

For Disabled learners:


1. A vlog that focuses on fun hobbies that can be done at home;
2. A vlog on their daily lives and special moments with their family
members;
3. A introductory speech on them introducing their hobbies and talents.

Assessment The students will partake a 10-point quiz of their lesson.


The student will research on the steps for making an online portfolio.
Assignment This will prepare the student for the proper execution of the creation of
an online blog in the succeeding lessons.
