Uses Plastiment VZ1 is used as retarding admixture in concrete where a controlled
extention of setting time is required.

Storage Conditions / 12 months from date of production if stored properly in undamaged unopened,

Information
Application Details
Consumption / Dosage 0.20 – 0.6% by weight of cement. The retardation rate achieved is directly
dependent on the dosage rate which in turn is influenced by quality of cement and
aggregates, w/c ratio and temperatures.
It is advisable to carry out trial mixes to finalise the optimum dosage rate.

Compatibility Plastiment VZ1 may be combined with many other Sika Products.
Important: Always conduct trials before combining products in specific mixes and
combinations. Compatible with all types of cement and cementitious materials

Dispensing Plastiment VZ1 can be dispensed directly into the mixing water or added
simultaneously into the concrete mixer.
Application By use Plastiment® VZ1 concrete of highest quality can be produced.
Method/Tools The standard rules of good concreting practice, concerning production, placing and
testing are to be followed.
Fresh concrete must be cured as per the relevant standard.
Cleaning of Tools Clean all tools and application equipment with water immediately after use.
Hardened / cured material can only be mechanically removed.
Notes on When accidentally over dosing occurs it will retard the setting. But the ultimate
