 TRANSMISSION
 MST 5 S Series Model Backhoe Loaders have transmission which has Auto & Manual Shifting
options.
 TLB2 CD Auto Powershift has 4 forward and 4 reverse gear options.
 Direction selection is made through an arm on the steering wheel.
 By activating the «Auto» button and bringing the shifting position « A», Auto shifting is
activated.
 Both direction and speed clutches have proportional hydraulic coupling for smoother shifting
characteristic.
 Operator puts less effort to shift gears with Powershift Transmission.
 In case of putting the machine into reverse suddenly when it is going forward, the machine
decelerates and stops and starts reversing to protect the transmission againg damages by
high torque input.
 AXLES
High Loading Capacity
• Front & Rear axles of MST 5 S Series Backhoe Loader are designed for heavy duty applications.
These axles have high static and dynamic load bearing capacities.
• The load is shared evenly on the rear shafts in all gears and thus a better traction is obtained.

LSD (Limited Slip Differential)

• LSD (Limited Slip Differential) feature which is available on M544 S Model Backhoe Loader
substantially reduces the risk of slipping thus decreases the fuel consumption and increases tire
life. This feature is available as standard on the rear axle for M544 S Model Backhoe Loader. On
slippery ground, LSD system reduces the torque to the slipping wheel proportionally and directs
the majority of the torque to the wheel on firm ground and therefore it increases the tire life
and reduces the cycle times and fuel consumption.
Differential Lock
• Differential Lock feature which is available on M542 S Model Backhoe Loader. Differential lock
feature on rear axle provides to high-level of ability to operator on the grounds which are mud,
ice, stone, and gravel. Through the differential locking feature enables low fuel consumption as
increasing the durability of tires, cycle times of machine.
 SMOOTH RIDE SYSTEM (SRS)
Smooth Ride System (SRS) is an accumulator filled with oil and nitrogen gas. It is connected in
parallel to the loader arm cylinders. When it is activated, it ensures absorption of the vibration
transmitted from the rough terrain through loader arms by means of this accumulator.

Thus, the operator obtains an ease of smooth driving on rough terrain without reducing its
speed and without pouring the material even the bucket is full of material.

Do not activate SRS during the regular working

MST 5 S Series Backhoe Loaders, CASAPPA Piston type pump is available as optional. Axial
piston pump for MST 5 S Series Backhoe Loaders is used as optional equipment provides
hydraulic power in an amount required by the user and operates with an efficiency of up to 95%
with precise control independent from engine speeds. High-efficiency, closed-center hydraulic
system with variable-flow piston pump, renewable flow sharing and regeneration featured
(Flowcharging) valves.

 HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
 Standard open system uses two pumps and hydraulic speed control (unloader).
 Power Modulation (unloader) valve automatically matching the hydraulic power to varying digging and
loading conditions.
 Anti-shock & anti-cavitation valves.
 Electrically controlled “Unloader Valve” for preventing unnecessary power consumption by
disconnecting the auxiliary pump while travelling on road or whenever the operator requires.
 Unloader Valve automatically dumps one pump when 4th gear selected on powershift models.
 Pilot oil suppliers ensure reliable, high-efficient barking performance.
 The RTD (Return to Dig Function) controls the shovel spool operation when the operator wants to move
the shovel back to its dig position automatically.

 ISO PATTERN SHIFTER Option
The optional ISO Pattern Shifter (control diverter) prioritizes the preferences of the operator and
allows the backhoe controllers to switch between the use of SAE or ISO standards at the touch of a
button within the cab.

This feature means that operators can easily switch between standard and inverted joystick control.

Changing the operator and different operations in difficult terrain and work conditions cause work
accidents and substantially reduces the efficiency. This is why ISO Pattern Shifter feature is
preferred mostly by public institutions and organizations since it enables the operators to use the
machine according to their habits especially in the machines used by more than one operator.

 EXTERIOR DESIGN Option

The adjustable LED lamps located on the cabin, 4 pieces at the front side and 4
pieces at the rear side, provides an illumination intensity that is 2 times more
than the normal while working with loader or backhoe during the works
performed at night. In addition, they provide a bright night vision to the
operator and allows for working for a long time.

LED stop lights are standard in the MST 5 S Series Backhoe Loaders. Thus, outer
visibility has been increased and life time of the lights are extended nearly four
times as well.

Polypropylene (PP) Fuel Tank
 If fuel that is being used consists of some foreign materials such as water and sulfur may
cause corrosion on the inner surface of metal fuel tanks. These corroded particals can also
pollute the fuel itself and damage the fuel system.
 Since there will be no corrosion on the non-metallic polypropylene(PP) surfaces, this
problem is eliminated. PP tanks are standard feature in MST 5 S Series Backhoe Loaders.
 In addition, the construction of the PP tank was reinforced with profile frame and metal
plate under surfaces it was made resistant against impacts.

 BRAKE SYSTEM
MST 5 S Series Backhoe Loaders have Twin brake pedals as standard which provides tighter
turning circle ratios and enhancing steering control on slippery ground. Twin brake pedal can
be interlocked during the driving. It is hydraulically assisted braking to reduce the level of
effort required by the operator on the brake pedal. The accumulator back-up provides high-
level of safety even in non-active engine for emergency braking.

MST 5 S Series Backhoe Loaders are equipped with high ambient engine cooling package
which allows the machine to be operated in the environment up to 50 C °.

MST Forklift Attachments feature standard brick guard and lock in position clips. Lift, stack,

The mechanical backhoe quick coupler allows to the operators for fast and easy excavation
attachment changes.
 HYDRAULIC LOADER QUICK HITCH
The Hydraulic Loader Quick Hitch allows the operator to hydraulically release one work tool
and attach another quickly minimizing drops in productivity including bale spears, buckets,
forks, brooms, augers, snow blades and more. Its smaller turning Radius increases the
strength of the attachment.
