AREA 4: PUBLIC SCHOOLS DISTRICT SUPERVISORS

SDO-Bongabon Annex continues in making stride towards academic excellence.


There are Twenty-three (23) schools in elementary, Three (3) secondary schools and one (1)
senior high school. The District Supervisor, is assigned to look into the operation of these
schools, for coaching, guiding and empowering principals and teachers.

Bongabon maintain to blissful in achieving satisfactory outputs or outcomes under


different Key Result Area (KRA)

KRA 1: Instructional Supervision

In providing instructional supervision the schools were able to craft interventions and
best practices that resulted to improved learners’ learning outcomes. These best practices are
found out very effective in teaching and learning. Project REPROP Reading Program in Time
of Pandemic, Project 3Ps Pagbasa sa Panahon ng Pandemya, Project REACH OUT Reading
enhancement and Comprehension Hand Out, Project RACE AP Reead And comprhend
towards Excellence Amidst Pandemic, Project KABANATA Kasanayan sa Pagbasa sa Tulong
ni Nanay at Tatay, among others to address strugling readers.
Some of these are interactive activities and games which makes learning fun and
meaningful particularly in Mathematics and Science. Hand PIKO, Snakey Board
games,among others are very effective in mastering 4Fs.

In providing Technical Assistance all schools were visited for ocular inspection.
Priority projects were identified, school principals were coached that made implementation of
their program and projects possible. Different projects aligned with the pandemic were
prioritized focused on materials for distant learning and health safety. In school management
all schools have approved plans. Through coaching they were able to implement their
programs and projects.

KRA 3: Monitoring and Evaluation


School funds from SEF, MOOE and other funds were properly utilized taking into
consideration the transparency and honesty. There are fifteen (15) school principals awarded
as best liquidators of the year. All schools adhered with the policy and standards using pre-
designed M & E transparency tools.

KRA 4: Curriculum

Bongabon Annex organized a team composed of six key members who all are school
principals together with potential teachers that work on tutorial classes on parents to lighten
the burden of parents in teaching their children. Also, all schools reviewed and localized the
activities in SLM/LAS. Repetition of two activities which only measure one competency were
eliminated.

KRA 5: Assessment of Learning Outcomes

Based on the findings of the gathered result of Assessment report, tool subjects
particularly English, Science and Math have low MPS. Different strategic interventions and
best practices were implemented by all the schools to address this gap which contributed to
good outcome on pupils’ academic assessment.

KRA 6: Research

There are fifteen (15) teachers who conducted action research and approved by
BERF. Based on their findings their strategies employed bears significant improvement on
pupil’s academic performance particularly on the area of English, Science and Math.
Strategies used on those research were recommended to be used on all schools in the
district.

KRA 7: Technical Assistance


In response to access to education during COVID 19 crisis, technical assistance were
provided, offered solutions to augment the needed materials for distant learning. In
collaboration with the municipal mayor. SEF budget was re-aligned for the procurement of
seven (7) RISO machines. This really helped in providing enough SLM to all the learners.
