• When playing with less than 4 players, remove random artefacts from play (remove 1 with 3 players; and 2 with 2 players) • Each minor secret location holds two tokens • Place starting Clank! Tokens before the game starts: 1st player places 3 cubes; 2nd player 2 cubes; 3rd player 1 cube; 4th player none Can you put artefacts down and switch them for other artefacts worth more points? • You cannot drop an artefact once you have picked it up. When does the dragon attack? • The dragon only attacks when a card with the dragon symbol is flipped into the Dungeon Row. Even if multiple cards are flipped when re-filling the Dungeon Row, the dragon only attacks once. The dragon does not attack if, at the start of the player’s turn, there is already a preexisting dragon card there (i.e. new card with the dragon symbol must be flipped). What triggers the end-game Countdown Track? • A player gets out of the dungeon back to the starting space with an artefact • A player gets knocked out Should one item be placed in each marketplace room or can you buy any item in all of them? • Any market item can be purchased on all market spaces. Can you buy multiple marketplace items of the same kind? • Yes, you may purchase any amount you want. Even just to deny the item to other players. In the marketplace: can you buy more than one item per turn? • Any player can buy as many items as they can, even during a single turn. You don't even need to exit and re-enter the room. If you start your turn on a marketplace, you can immediately buy things. Clarifications on “blue sky” board marketplace. • You can pick up one minor secret (or even an artefact worth 10 points) in the marketplace spot that has them and make your purchases at the same time. Example: provided you have enough boots, you can gain a minor secret, buy a backpack, move to the marketplace with the 10-point artefact, buy a key, move back to the first marketplace and take another minor secret while also buying a crown (provided you have said 3 boots and 21 coins to spare). Does the artefact (on “blue sky” board) have to be purchased from the marketplace for gold? • No. Only the Crown, Backpack, and Key need to be purchased. Other points to remember: • Picking up an artefact moves the dragon higher on the Rage Track • Defeated monsters and used devices are gathered in the central discard pile, there is no reason for individual players to keep these • Secrets (both kinds) are revealed directly and stay revealed • If you teleport out of a Crystal cave you still cannot use boots anymore in this turn • All cards in your hand must be played each turn, even if the result would work against you (there are exceptions to this rule, such as “discard” action) More detailed FAQ produced by the publisher can be found online: https://www.direwolfdigital.com/clank/
