VII. HIGHLIGHTS OF THE
ACTIVITY

In lie with the conduct of School – Based- In- Service Training for Teachers under DepEd Order No. 012 s. 2021,
our school run a 3- day webinar-workshop that cores the use of differentiated instructions, thru developmentally
appropriate practices by applying positive and non-violent discipline to ensure learning focused environment.

On the first day of webinar the resource speakers discussed about the definition of differentiated instructions and it’s
purpose. Th differentiated instruction means tailoring instruction to meet individual needs that aims to improve learning
outcomes, increase management, increase self-awareness, inspire a love of learning and help students learn more
efficiently and with deeper understanding. The purpose of differentiated instruction is to individualize learning and helps
students to connect different learning experiences and enable them to use the prior knowledge to learn new things. It
aims to engage students in learning and create a context of learning. The other resource speaker discussed about the
advantages and disadvantages of differentiation in the classroom and also the different strategies or applications that
can be used by the students to easily learn different lessons.

On the second day of webinar the resource speakers talked about the different ways to differentiate instruction during
distance learning, the advantages and disadvantages of modular distance learning. The four ways differentiate instruction
according to Tomlinson and the used of google classroom to easily teach online classes. The speakers also asked the
teachers to make an output about differentiated instructions to slow learners, average and fast learners.

On the third day the teachers from different grade levels presented their outputs about google classroom and
different activities for slow learners, average and fast learners. Giving of certificates of recognition was also given to the
resource speaker s, chairman and co-chairman of the school webinar, the members of the technical working committee
and the teachers of Iba Elementary School who participated in the Webinar.
