Reflection

In the past years being student nurse I have realized that I've
already come too far, ad I can say that I am proud of my self
because of the achievements that I have made since day one.
Return demonstration is an important component of nursing
practice because it allows student nurses to learn about nursing
procedures. It allows students to understand what nurses do in
hospitals or communities when they care for patients and how
they do these treatments on them. Return demonstration is an
important component of nursing practice because it allows

students to understand what nurses do in hospitals or
communities when they care for patients and how they do these
treatments on them. With all the past return demonstrations that
I have done, I can say that I have already improved a lot since
before I'm not getting perfect scores but with all the mistakes I
am making, I am also learning from it, and when we already had
our clinical duty I'm already able to do it right. Having a return
demonstration is good for the reason that this will help us to
determine if we can commit a mistake or not when we will be
doing it on our actual patients. I also remember before that I am
really struggling doing a pathophysiology because I don't know
how I will going to start from the cause of the disease but then I
realized that pathophysiology enables us student nurses to assess
a patient's health state holistically and detect disease in its early
stages. They can also spot illness progression early on and
intervene in a culturally acceptable and timely manner. And with
all the clinical experience that I had I learned skills and new
knowledge that I can use in the future as I work, I also can say
that the experience in the clinical area is a best experience than
the return demonstration, because we are already dealing with
the actual patient, we need some more extra care on what we are
doing.

Journals and EBP
Reflection

Evidence-Base Practice (EBP) provides us student nurses with the

scientific evidence they need to make well-informed decisions.
Nurses or student nurses can use EBP to stay up to date on new
medical procedures for patient care. Nurses can improve their
patients' chances of recovery by looking for documented therapies
that match their patients' profiles.

EBP allows nurses to assess studies in order to better understand

the hazards and efficacy of diagnostic tests and treatments.
Nurses can now include patients in their care plans thanks to the
use of EBP. Patients can express their worries, share their values
and preferences, and offer ideas on how they wish to continue,
allowing them to take an active role in their own treatment. And
some EBP also help other health care professionals like nursing
research, nursing educators and nursing practitioners.

To be honest, I have also been struggling on doing my journal or a

summary of the article for the reason that I am not a fun of
reading long contents. There is a abstract on the articles or
researches but sometimes you need to read all the article to really
understand the study that you have chosen. Thankfully, I am able
do push myself to make that weakness an motivation so that I can
do better.

Teaching Plan

Duty
Reflection

Making a teaching plan is essential because it allows student

nurses to provide the best possible patient care. It is also an
essential component of the nursing process because it is used as a
tool to offer proper care. It is also used to educate each patient on
their specific condition. The teaching plan, in my opinion, is useful
because it provides context for what we will be teaching our
patients with the sickness they have. It also aids in the
understanding and treatment of disease, allowing patients to be
self-sufficient in their health care. A brochure is useful because it
communicates information to patients. The brochure informs
patients, healthcare users, and their families about the services
that are offered and supports the information supplied verbally by
the healthcare professional. It is not a replacement for spoken
communication, but it can help patients and users make health-
related decisions. Making a brochure or infographic is one of my
favorite features to do when we are on clinical duty since it allows
me to share the knowledge I have with my patients, which may
also help them. The final part of this PLO was our duties in the
BGH Pediatric Ward before to the outbreak. As far as I recall, this
was our first job for that semester, and while I can say that I used
all of the skills I had acquired, I'm apprehensive because it will be
my first time dealing with a real patient. But, thanks to our
instructor's assistance and supervision, I can say that my first
time wasn't too horrible because I am looking forward to more
duty and am anxious to apply all of the skills and knowledge that
I have gained to see if I am a qualified nurse in the future.

Reflection

This course emphasized the importance of having the skills,

knowledge, attitudes, and abilities that a nurse should have to
perform acceptably those duties directly related to patient care in
a specific clinical context under specific circumstances in order to
promote, maintain, and restore patient health.

In this regard, one of the competencies required to be competent

in the clinical sector is the ability to effectively and completely
record and document, which was also emphasized in this course. I
learned to be confident in my abilities and to commit time to
successfully communicating facts to patients in order for them to
comprehend their problems and treatment alternatives. I learned
how to increase patient satisfaction by using soft skills to
communicate effectively and develop relationships.

Documentation is essential because it transmits clinical

information about a client, such as data regarding their health
and condition. The documentation record serves as a means of
communication among members of the interprofessional
healthcare team. The healthcare team is made aware of
assessments, interventions, and responses by documenting
information. This ensures that the client's care is integrated and
coordinated throughout their journey. Furthermore, the
documented data enables healthcare providers to use this
knowledge in clinical judgment and decision-making.

Reflection

I have learned that staffing is important because it will affect

all nurses' capacity to provide safe, high-quality care in all
practice settings. We can improve health care for all by
eliminating dangerous nurse staffing practices and policies.

One of the primary tasks of a nurse leader, according to the

information offered in this course, is to serve as a role model
for healthcare and team members. It is vital to be able to
effectively and efficiently communicate the goals and
objectives of each team member. The course helped me
strengthen my leadership abilities, which included
encouraging individuals to improve treatment quality and
taking an active role in clinical care.

I also enhanced my administrative skills, allowing me to

arrange adequate staffing and deliver the best possible care to
my patients while maintaining in compliance with regulatory
regulations and rules.

With my cultivated attitude, talents, management, and

leadership expertise, I am convinced that I have made great
improvement from my first to fourth year. I am working hard
to become an exceptional role model for others and a direct
influence on the overall quality of care offered through good
management abilities, and I believe I have made significant
progress.

Nursing Research
-Quantitative and
Qualitative
Reflection

Nursing research has a significant impact on present and future

professional nursing practice, making it an important component
of the training process. Nursing research is essential to the
nursing profession and is required for ongoing improvements that
support effective nursing care. One of the most difficult classes I
had to take was Nursing Research.

However, this course taught me how to correctly read research

articles, which has helped me advance in my work, keep current,
and provide better patient care. Information literacy skills can
help me not just use information more effectively to reach my
own conclusions, but they can also help me with my personal and
professional development. In addition, with this course, I will be
able to contribute to future research that uncovers knowledge to
establish the foundation of clinical practice and reinforce disease
and disability prevention, manage symptoms of sickness, and
improve end-of-life care.

Reflection

Electronic health records (EHRs) have changed the

landscape of healthcare information technology. A
computerized version of a patient's medical history is
referred to as an electronic health record. It may contain
progress notes, providers, difficulties, prescriptions, lab data,
and so on. EHRs can improve patient care by increasing the
quality and clarity of medical information, as well as
making data more available to healthcare professionals,
doctors, and patients.

Telehealth advancements have also played a significant role

in increased accessibility. Through remote patient
monitoring, live video conferencing, and mobile health apps,
telecommunications systems have made it easier for
patients who are geographically separated to receive
nursing care. In today's world, it is easier for those living in
rural places to get access to high-quality care.

Human mistake can be reduced using new technologies.

Nurses who work long shifts or work in understaffed units
are more likely to make mistakes. Routine operations are
made easier by new medical technologies. Automated IV
pumps, for example, can measure the dosage of medication
administered to patients. This speeds up the process of
altering drip amounts and dosage.

EHRs also aid in the reduction of errors at the bedside.

Because the data is readily available, EHRs can aid in
reducing test duplication and treatment delays.

Reflection

I learned a lot from this course, and I value the

topics we discussed since they have influenced
my clinical decision-making and performance.
This session emphasized the need of nurses
showing respect for their patients, protecting
their rights, and maintaining their dignity.

As nurses, it is our obligation to establish

mutual trust and respect among patients and
the rest of the healthcare team. This course
taught me to be dedicated to learning about
and honoring the profession's ethical norms of
conduct when it comes to delivering care to
others.

As a result of this training, my understanding of

ethical practice has grown. Knowing what is
right and being willing to put it into action are
two fundamental components of ethical
activity.

Reflection

It was one of the most memorable and enlightening

experiences I had as a student nurse during the
course since I was able to communicate with people
from a wide range of cultural and ethnic
backgrounds.

I learned how to effectively converse with and

appreciate other people's cultures. With the use of
this training, I realized that speaking effectively
with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds is
crucial for understanding and giving the best
possible patient care. Furthermore, I realized that I
needed to increase my cultural competence in order
to effectively comprehend, interact, and engage
with others.

It is more especially focused with understanding the

relationship between nurses and patients as well as
learning about other cultural practices and
worldviews from throughout the world.
Furthermore, being a community health nurse
opens one's eyes to the fact that not everyone has
the opportunity to profit from the health care
system with the provided circumstances in a
community.

Reflection

During this course, I learned ER nursing skills that

I found difficult to grasp. However, because
emergency department patients require rapid care
and treatment, this training taught me how to
carry out my responsibilities swiftly and
efficiently in order to avoid delays in care and
protect patients.

Another important skill for emergency nurses that

I learnt via this training is the ability to analyze
lab and other diagnostic information relevant to
the patient's health and care plan. Furthermore,
emergency nursing skills require more than just
administering IVs and charting in a short amount
of time. One of the characteristics I learned while
completing this course was assertiveness, which
helped me be more conscious of when and how to
speak up for myself or my patients.

My professional experience encouraged me to

engage in lifelong learning, allowing me to give
therapy in a way that enhanced patient results. It
pushed me to stay up to date on the newest
nursing and health breakthroughs in order to
retain and develop my nursing skills and
knowledge.

A thorough patient health assessment is a critical first

step in formulating a plan to provide the best possible
patient care. A nurse's duty and obligation include
doing health assessments. The assessment serves as a
tool for learning about your patient's worries,
symptoms, and overall health. Nurses may discover
symptoms of prospective or underlying health
conditions that need to be addressed during the
examination.

A comprehensive health evaluation typically begins

with a health history, which includes details about the
patient's previous illnesses or injuries (including
childhood illnesses and immunizations),
hospitalizations, surgeries, allergies, and chronic
conditions. Finding out about disorders that run in the
patient's family is also part of the process.

Before proceeding to the physical exam, the patient is

asked to describe his or her symptoms, when they
began, and how they developed during the health
history component of an assessment. The physical
exam starts with a full set of vital signs (blood pressure,
heart rate, respiratory rate, and temperature).

Reflection

This course taught me that nurses help, support, and care

for people regardless of their gender, socioeconomic
background, financial situation, or social standing in
society, among other things. As a result, nurses must
provide thorough care to their patients, and I entered the
job as a calling rather than an obligation.

The fundamental job of a Christian nurse is to care for the

whole patient, including emotional, physical, and spiritual
well-being.
In terms of Christian beliefs, I must ensure that a patient's
emotional well-being is addressed adequately. Aside from
that, I was introduced to the concept of social justice,
which entails courage, integrity, and objectivity. With these
principles in mind, I was in charge of acting as a patient
advocate in the healthcare system and distributing
resources appropriately, primarily as part of my
community responsibility.

I learnt that social justice is treating all patients fairly, and

that as a nurse, I should not discriminate against patients
based on their socioeconomic level, financial abilities, or
other factors. I have learned that being fair and dealing
with patients with patience are crucial components of my
career.
