How To Reset The RAIGE Password On A VSTAC Product
Procedure Summary
This procedure is to walk someone through the process of resetting a password on a vSTAC
Array that has been forgotten by the user.
Products Affected
All Pivot3 vSTAC Products

Important: This procedure requires the use of a USB key. Do not use a USB key with data on it
-- the key may be formatted as part of this procedure and the data will be lost.
Email Example:
8. Once support receives your email it will be processed. Pivot3 will generate a file named
0.rtask and e-mail it back to you along with the new username and password.
9. Once it has been processed, you should receive a response similar to the following:

You can then add a username and password to the Administrative privileges of
pivot3/pivot3
4. Insert a BLANK USB key into the same machine that’s running vSphere client.
5. Highlight RAIGE_VM on the left panel.
6. Select the Console tab in the right frame or open a Console window for the selected
VM.
7. Click on USB connection icon to connect USB to vSTAC OS VM.

Procedure Verification
The user is successfully able to log into the Array and view all appliances on the network under
the Physical tab in RAIGE Director.
