Note : installation and maintenance are to be performed only by qualified personnel who are
familiar with local codes and regulations, and experienced with this type of equipment.
Caution : Sharp edges and coil surface are a potential injury hazard. Avoid contact with them.
Warning: Moving machinery and electrical power hazard. May cause severe personal injury or
death. Disconnect and lock off power before servicing equipment.

FEATURES
1.Wide Range
The DDB-BW series have a wide range of 10 models.
2. High-static Pressure-Easy Choice Of Installation Location
The approximate external static for the various models are:
3. Quite Operation
The new DDB-BW series incorporate a new low noise centrifugal fan which ensure quite operation. The
casing is insulated internally to reduce the noise further.
4. Easy Maintenance
The simple design concept has maintenance and servicing in mind. Access to the internal part of the unit
can be from either side of the unit by loosening a few screws.
Only for DDB 040BW, 050BW, 060BW, 075BW, 100BW Additional servicing from bottom
5. Flexibility In Installation
DDB 040BW - DDB150BW models come with standard horizontal air discharge. However, the
DDB 125BW – DDB 300BW are designed to allow for horizontal or vertical air discharge application.
2
6. Mounting
DDB 125BW - 300BW range can be either ceiling or floor mounted whereas DDB040BW-DDB100BW
are designed for ceiling mounting only.
7. Air Filter
High efficiency air filter ensure the air fresh and clean (optional).
8. Fresh Air For Healthy living
Fresh air in the air-conditioned space is essential for health and comfort. This is easily achieved in the
case of DDB-BW models by introducing predetermined amount or outside air.
9. Elegance and Prestige
As the unit is installed above the ceiling with only the air grille exposed it view, the air-conditioned
space will appear as elegant and prestigious without affecting the harmony of the air-conditioned space.
10. Special Designed for Easy Duct Connection And Low Ceiling Installation Space
For the ceiling mounting DDB-BW models, air outlet flanges are nearer to the lower edge of the unit,
such that the unit can be hung higher up and closer to ceiling, with no difficulty for the air ducts to clear
the ceiling beams. The final result is that the false ceilings can be built higher up, and the area blow
appearing more spacious. Therefore, the height of each floor can, in fact, be reduce, thereby saving costs
in civil works.

INSTALLATION
Mounting
a) For ceiling mounted models, locate a position where piping and ducting can be kept to a
minimum. Ensure that overhead supports are strong enough to hold the unit’s weight. Position
hanger rods and check for alignment with the unit. Check that hanger are secure and that base of
fan-coil unit is level in two horizontal directions.
Piping Sizes
Refer to “Specifications”
Ducted Design
Equitable ductwork design can reduce noise efficiently. Refer to external static pressure when
designing ductwork. Duct resistance must be equal to external static pressure, otherwise, airflow
will be too high or too low, resulting in operation troubles. External static pressure can be adjusted
to be equal to duct resistance by adjusting fan rotational speed (RPM. FOR MDB125BW above
only)
Electrical Connection
As wiring regulations differ from country to country, please prefer to your LOCAL ELECTRICAL
CODES for field wiring regulations and ensure that these are complied with. Beside, observe the
following general precautions:
a) Ensure that the rated voltage of the unit corresponds to that of the name plate before
commencing wiring work.
b) Provide a power outlet to be used exclusively for each unit. A power supply disconnect and a
circuit breaker for over-current protection should be provided in the exclusive line.
c) The unit must be GROUNDED to prevent possible hazard due to insulation failures.
d) All wiring must be firmly connected.
e) Electrical wiring must not touch the refrigerant piping, compressor and any moving parts of the
fan motors.
17
SERVICING AND MAINTENANCE
The fan-coils are designed to operate continuously with simple routine maintenance.
Air Filters
An air filter is normally installed according to side conditions. It is installed at the return air grille. It
removes un-wanted particles such as dirt, soot, pollen and other impurities from the air passing through it.
The washable Villedon or Saranet filter may be cleaned by tapping the filter on a solid surface to dislodge
heavy particles. Wash under a stream of a warm water with neutral detergent if necessary. Dry thoroughly
before placing it back in position.
The filter can easily be take out for servicing/cleaning by removing one of the filter rack cover on either side
of the unit.
Fan Motor
Minimum maintenance is required.
Fan Belt
Adjust the fan belt if necessary.
Coils
Clean coil brushing between fins with a stiff nylon brush followed by cleaning with a vacuum cleaner. The
coil may also be cleaned by using a high pressure air hose and nozzle if a compressed air source is available.
If a suitable air filter is used and maintained properly, the coils need no cleaning.
Drain Pipes
Check the drain pipe before operation of unit. Clear the debris if it is clogged so that condenstate water will
flow away easily.
Replacement Of Parts
Replacement of parts are available through your local dealers. When ordering parts, please specify
1) Model of the unit,
2) Serial number of the unit, and
3) The parts names and part numbers.
Operation
With thermostat Control
a) Ensure that the starter switch is on.
b) Push the “ON” button of the starter.
c) Set the thermostat to your required temperature.
d) The fan speed is normally set a predetermined speed.
e) Wait for 3 minutes before pressing the starter’s “ON” button to re-start the compressor.
f) In some cases, volume control damper is used to control the volume of discharge air.

ENGINEERING GUIDE SPECIFICATIONS
Cabinet
The unit shall be constructed of electro-galvanized steel with epoxy-polyester powder coating. The complete
frame and access panels shall be insulated with ½ inch thick (48Kg/m3 density) coated glass fiber
insulation. The insulation shall be affixed to the casing with water proof adhesive. The insulation and
adhesive shall meet the flame and smoke generation requirement of NFPA90A.
Coil
The coil shall be the counter flow, multi-pass cross finned tube type, fabricated from 3/8 inch OD seamless
copper tubing mechanically bonded to highly-efficient aluminum fins. The fins shall be placed at maximum
12 fins per inch. The coil shall be cleaned and leak tested under water at 350 psig.
Supply Fan
Supply fan can be double width double inlet forward curved multi-blade centrifugal type. All fans shall be
statically and dynamically balanced.
Drain Pan
Drain pan shall be fabricated of electro-galvanized steel with epoxy-polyester coating, insulated with 10mm
thick polyethylene foam.
