Rubrics as a terminology in education refers to the scoring guide used by the teachers in
evaluating the quality of students’ written or oral performance or output. Rubrics usually include
evaluation criteria, quality definitions for those criteria at a particular level of achievement and a
scoring strategy.
Study very well the rubrics used by your Cooperating Teacher in evaluating the quality of
students’ constructed responses to questions especially essays.
Take note of the evaluative criteria for scoring the learning outputs both written works
and performance tasks.

ACTIVITY:
1. Do you find using or having a rubric/ scoring guide useful when you checked students’
learning outputs? Why?
Using or having a rubric/ scoring guide is very useful when it comes in checking
the learning output of the students in a way that it is a guide for the checker to easily
assess the outputs of the students. Also, it is very helpful to navigate the discrepancies of
the output that the students created or being performed. Moreover, it also provides
consistency in evaluating the outputs. Lastly, it is to help the students to improve more
performance.
Have a table of the learning outputs that you checked and record the assessment
practices that you employed in assisting your Cooperating Teacher in correcting students’
learning outputs.
For me, it is true that the rubrics is very important in checking or assessing
the learning performance of the students. It is a great help to for us to easily navigate
the variations of the output of each student. Moreover, when crafting the content of
the rubrics, there are a lot of things that are need to consider; First, if it is clearly
stated on the students the content of the said rubrics. Next, if it is amenable to the
students. Also, if it is unbiased for them. And lastly, if it has a great impact on the
development of the learners.

Reflection
1. Does the scoring rubric for demonstration and FS courses will help you come with
better output?
Yes, it is very helpful for me especially when doing the task given by the
cooperating teacher. It is a great factor to really assess the output that I make whether
it is very useful and very informative. Moreover, it also serves as a guide so that I
can easily fill the discrepancies in the output that I created. Lastly, these rubrics can
help me to target the main points of the output wherein, it can be enhanced and
elaborated more.
