The key takeaways are that this pattern provides instructions to make a triangular shawl using various stitches like single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, front post double crochet, and clusters. It can be made as long or short as desired.

The supplies needed include various sizes of hooks, approximately 900-1100 yards of worsted, DK, or sport weight yarn, scissors, yarn needle, stitch markers, and fun accent yarn.

Some of the special stitches used include back loop only (BLO), front loop only (FLO), clusters (granny clusters of 3 double crochet stitches worked into the same stitch), and front post double crochet (FPDC) stitches.

Gauge/ Measurements
Pattern is worked in a medium to loose tension.
The dimensions per row will vary based on the
yarn & hook size you use. Gauge to begin doesn’t
matter as much.

Special Pattern Notes

❏ This pattern is worked with a
MEDIUM/LOOSE tension so that it
allows for a nice drape.
❏ You can modify this pattern by making it
shorter for a FORWARD FACING
Triangle Scarf, or, you can make it as long
as you would like for a fun Stevie Nicks
vibe!
❏ STITCH MARKERS are important for this
pattern. They will be needed on specific
rows (row repeats) so that you do not
lose the stitches to go into on the next
row.
❏ The SC & HDC rows will NOT have a
chain before you turn. This is VERY
important to help keep your edges
straight, and your stitch count accurate.
❏ The ( ) at the end of each instruction row
are the stitch counts for that row.
❏ This pattern is worked using ROW
REPEATS. This is what allows you to keep
the placements even and make it as
short/long as you wish.

Place your last 2 Sc Sts and then 1 more Sc St into

BORDER INSTRUCTIONS
Here you will start your border, which is a
Single Picot Edging. You will find some photo
references above in the Special Stitch
Instruction section.
BORDER START: Ch 1, turn, Sc in the same
St. To Create a Picot: *Ch 3, Sc in the back
bar/bump of the 1st Ch, 1 Sc in the next 3
Sts*. Repeat *to* down the side until you have
2 Sts left. 1 Sc in each of the next 2 Sts, and 1
Sc in the peak. Repeat *to* down the 2nd
side. You will place one last Picot in the last
St.
You can choose to cut/tie off and attach on
the order side of your neckline, or you can
continue from here and not cut/tie off. This
is all personal preference.
SC FOUNDATION NECKLINE (instructions and
photo references are also above in the Special Stitch
Section) Here you will place 1 Sc St on the side of
the last Picot St. Continuing on, you will evenly
place Sc Sts along the neckline of your
shawl/scarf. Doing this you will want to make sure
you are keeping the edge straight and not
bunching up. Tie off/Weave ends.

You are complete!

If you prefer to block your items, do so after
weaving in all of your ends.
Blocking isn’t always necessary, and it is not
something I do on many of my pieces. This,
however, is at your discretion for your
personal preference.
THANK YOU, once again, for choosing our
pattern.
