Teaching means that you have an emotional investment in making our world
better, and you use your skills and gifts to achieve that within your own classroom.
You see each student as unique, and you realize that his gifts are special and
deserve to be developed and celebrated. Teaching is a tough but rewarding career.
Being a teacher, she/he is responsible for preparing lesson plans and educating
students at all levels. Their duties include assigning homework, grading tests, and
documenting progress. Teachers must be able to instruct in a variety of subjects and
reach students with engaging lesson plans. This is not an easy job for being a great
teacher, because they need to be warm, accessible, enthusiastic and caring. This
kind of person is approachable, not only to students, but to everyone on campus.
This is the teacher to whom students know they can go with any problems or
concerns or even to share a funny story. That’s why despite that teacher rudeness or
being terror, you can still see how she disciplined her students by criticizing their
grooming and when she worried if her students are not attending her class or being
absent in few days. She is also eager to shape and motivate her students because
this is the only way she can give, especially since she will not see it in her son’ s
future. Despite what she was going through because she was a widow and his son
was seriously ill. It is still not an obstacle for being a teacher to abdicate her
responsibilities to the school and even to her students. We also have no right to
judge a teacher just because she is a terror or rude, but we should be grateful
despite her situation and going through, she never forgets to fulfil her obligations
within the class.
At first, I became emotional because despite the teacher’s rudeness, she was
carrying an obligation that is not only normal, an obligation that is not hidden from
everyone that is not totally easy. But it is a great burden not only a teacher but as a
mother. My tears flowed at the part of that video where her student went to her
house, and there her student discovered that despite her criticism of their mistakes
and shortcomings he realized and changed his view for the teacher. My tears flowed
even more when the teacher told her student that she could no longer give her son
future because it has a serious illness. It was an illness that was not normal to
everyone. And she said that, you as my student would u might continue the dream
that I would be for my son? In this teacher’s situation I was so impressed, because
not only did she show love to her son but also to her students, she taught him how to
be focused and determined in their dream. She also inspired her student to have a
big heart and a loving mother to her son. In her story, I also saw how difficult she
was going through as a mother, apart from lying down, everything was depended to
her. She was trying her best to give everything as she can, just to fulfil the needs of
her sick son. That sacrifices show a loving mother to her son. She is not only an
ideal mother but a true hero in her son’s eyes.
I appreciate the resilience and determination of a teacher, I used to hate them much
because of surprised quizzes, reports, and so on. Those types of aren’t happy with
the projects you’ve passed, and then a lot of lots of orders. Now I am very grateful to
them because they also became my second mother on the day of school. A best
teacher that will correct your mistakes and teach you how to shape your skills. What
I have learned is to be respectful to those who are older than us, especially to those
who help us how to shape us, and that is our “TEACHERS’. Not all the time we can
do the things we want because of the situation we had at home or in ourselves. We
still need to think about it, what will happen next if we going to force to do it. We also
don’t have the right to give an opinion to someone if we don’t know what she/ he is
going through in life. Just like teacher Peralta in the story where she is a widow and
have disabled child, were everything depends on her. This teacher is a very multi-
tasker, apart from the problems in life she also never forgets her obligation as a
teacher. So, we should appreciate every word that our teacher utters, even if we
don’t learn it from home, it is likely that our teacher will guide the day you are at
school. Only the teacher will teach us every step we take, if we take it to heart and
mind. I also became determined to become a teacher not only to have a stable
salary, but also to help my future students with their lessons and studies. Try to
shape them also and teach them how to dream and pursue their dreams. Many
children now in our society want to study, but because of poverty others are forced to
stop because they can't afford tuition fees and don’t have money and either for
transportation. In a young age, some of them needs to help their parents to find life
or to work hard just have something to feed in their empty stomach. So, I'm very
happy with this kind of opportunity to have this earning units for teaching. Because of
this I can pursue my goal to help more children to reach their dreams in life.
