I. Title:
CHRISTMAS CONTESTS
II. Rationale:
Section 2 of Republic Act No. 10742, otherwise known as the Sangguniang Kabataan
Reform Act of 2015, provides that “the State recognizes the vital role of the youth in nation-
building and thus, promotes and protects their physical, moral, spiritual, intellectual and
social well-being, inculcates in them patriotism, nationalism, and other desirable values,
and encourages their involvement in public and civic affairs.” Thus, to uphold the policy of
the state and the objectives of RA 10742, the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Badas
will be conducting a CHRISTMAS CONTESTS for all the youth ages 15-30 in the
aforementioned barangay.
In line with this, there will be set of activities to be conducted and these are the
following:
 On The Spot Human Christmas Tree Contest
 On The Spot Christmas Card and Letter Contest (Free Materials)
 On The Spot Christmas Gift Wrapping Contest (Free Materials)
 Christmas Tiktok Challenge
 Mobile Legends Tournament
III. Objectives:
 To provide an avenue where the youth can develop their talents.
 To create a pool of talents from the grassroots level and to further develop
discovered talents in the future.
 To boost the confidence and creativity of the badasian youth.
 Develop the youth’ sense of belongingness to political platforms.
IV. General Guidelines for Christmas Contests
1. The participant must be a bona fide resident of Barangay Badas;

2. The participant must be 15-30 years old and must be a bona fide resident of
Barangay Badas;
3. The interested participant must signify his/her intention to participate by
commenting his/her complete name and address;

 Creativity - 30%
 Originality and Uniqueness - 30%
 Color and Lights Coordination – 20%
 Stability – 10%
 Compliance to the Guidelines – 10%
On The Spot Christmas Card and Letter Criteria for Judging:
 Creativity, Uniqueness and Texture of Card Design - 60%
 Content and Impact of the Christmas Letter - 30%
 Overall Impact – 20%
On The Spot Christmas Gift Wrapping Criteria for Judging:
 Originality and Uniqueness - 30%
 Choice of Color – 20%
 Durability – 10%
 Overall Impact – 10%
On The Spot Christmas Tiktok Challenge Criteria for Judging:
 Mastery - 30%
 Originality and Uniqueness – 20%
 Choice of Music – 10%
 Compliance to the Guidelines – 10%
