II. Introduction
Gulayan sa Paaralan is the project of the Department of Education in coordination with the department of
agriculture to improve learning to the barrio schools. Using school gardening for supplementary feeding program can be a
tool in aiding the reasons why students drop out of school because of poverty, hunger, and malnutrition. School gardening

The Gulayan sa Paaralan shall be implemented in every school regardless of wide or limited area. By
working together to improve and increase vegetable production in school and by teaching the learners the methods of
sustainable production of food which are applicable to their homes will give us a best result in implementing this program.
Let us utilize school gardening in improving the education of the young ones through supplementary feeding program and
garden sale to fund necessary activities. Let our school be the model of cleanliness and greenness in our community.

BEFORE
Flexing our beloved Parents in their undying support and
love in helping the school with the program amidst the
pandemic. They even bring their own extra seedlings and
own-made organic manure.
DURING
We face a little bit challenge in growing up the plants due to the scarcity of water.
Regarding this, we ask help to the barangay officials for an action to this that at
least we could have water 3- 4 times a week for they have scheduling of
distribution of water that is the reason why the water supply could not reach our
school or due to drought and they did their best to respond and act into it.
Moreover, were still blessed to have parents who are just nearby the school to
extend their help in taking care our plants during weekends.
AFTER
These are some of the vegetables and fruits
that were able to harvest in despite of the
scarcity of water and manifestation of
pests. We sell some of the crops and some
were given to the food pantry to help our
people in a little way but we could save
families who are starving due to this
pandemic.
