    1. 424 + 366

    = 424 + 6 + 360

    = 430 + 360

    = 790 is the answer

    2. 241 + 659

    = 241 + 9 + 650

    = 250 + 650

    = 643 + 7 + 750

    = 650 + 750

    = 700 + 700 = 1400 is the answer
