ABSTRACT
Image processing and LoT sensor monitoring network technology has taken the
evolutions of sensors to a completely different level. The conflicts between
human and animal become a major problem in the agriculture field and in the
forest zone which leads to human life in danger and also losing a huge quantity of
resources. To solve this problems animal intrusion and repellant system has been
introduced.
The sensors present on it will detect the presence of animals entering the farming
area and it will identify the animal and start making noises to repel the animal. By
this method there is no need of any support of labour for working this ,it’s an
automated process working on solar powered. The efficiency rate is also high.
By this method it is proved that about 80 percentage of animal attacks has been
eliminated .

- Human Wildlife Conflicts have caused a stream of major changes in the
agricultural patterns and practices nationwide. To protect their crops from
getting damaged because of animal intrusions, farmers have been using
electric fences around their fields and areas where the fencing don’t prove
efficient, farmers prefer to stay up all night and guard their fields from
animal intrusions. Practices like these have done more harm than good for
us and in extreme cases, it has even costed lives of both man and animals.
- Considering the inefficiencies and shortcoming of these existing practices,
an enthusiastic team decided to come up with a solution that protected the
crops from animal intrusions without causing any harm to the wildlife. This
lead to the invention of ANIDERS (Animal Intrusion Detection and
Repellent System), that works like a mechanized Scarecrow planted on the
boundaries of the fields . The device detects the animals that have intruded
the field and scares them away before they can cause harm to the crops.
HOW IT WORKS

- ANIDERS uses Infrared Technology to sense the approaching animal and
repels the animal away from the farm safely. It eliminates the need of
Electric Fences. It uses a combination of AIR(Active infrared) and
PIR(Passive infra red) sensors to detect intrusion of any animal entering
the farm and then it uses electrical signal to trigger and alarm that repels
the detected animal away..
- The alarm uses a combination of light and sound and also the device is
solar powered so, there is no need any power supply to charge it’s
battery..
- It charges itself during the day and gets switched on automatically at
night..
- Two PIR sensors put together covers a diameter of about 30 meters..
- After the intrusion has been detected , Aniders will automatically tell the
location of the animal by flashing spot light towards it and will trigger
the alarm system of they sector..
- Since animals tend to get accustomed to the recurring sounds and lights
in their surroundings, ordinary alarming systems will work in the
beginning but its effectiveness will decrease sharply with time. To
overcome this shortcoming, ANIDERS was programmed to use different
permutations and combinations of light and sound patterns that changes
every time an intrusion was detected. This will delay the habituation in
animals.

ECONOMIC IMPACT
- Farmers near protect forest areas suffer great crop loss due to
crop raiding by wild animal like elephants, wild boar and deer.
ANIDERS, when installed in the periphery of farmland,

successfully detects and repels such animals 91% of the times.
This in turn can lead up to 60% increase in crop yield. It protects
the fields 24*7 without the need of human intervention.

APPLICATIONS OF ANIDERS
- Highways that cut through dense forests usually have high rates
of animal deaths due to accidents. ANIDERS can be installed
alongside the highways to monitor the animal movement and to
protect them from heavy traffic on the road. We did a pilot
project on Delhi- Jaipur highway with CISCO to implement a
monitoring system near toll plaza.
- Whenever an animal is approaching the towards a busy highway,
ANIDERS would trigger an alarm system to warn the animal away
from the highway. When the traffic is low and subdued, animals
can be allowed to cross the road with safety.

device and are testing it pan India. While the basic model is
their farms out of which 1/10th of farmers can afford the device
in its current form. While the average land per farmer is 2.5 acre,
