Overview:
This Application android based as mentioned above and has its data
management at the web end. The web application should perform its
functionality for setting the system, policies, setups etc. whereas Android
application should process the data by a single tap of RFID card, transfers the
data to Server, show reports etc.

Features:
Attendance Marking:
Attendance marking will be done by tapping the RFID cards on to the NFC
enabled tablets. Attendance will be taken at different times of the day and at
different locations. Attendance marking will be done in two different modes

1. Open Mode

2. Countdown Mode

Open Mode:
Open mode will be used typically in the mornings when students from various
classes will be entering the school together. The device will simply read the
card, show the photo of the student for confirmation, and transmit the data to
server for central compilation and processing.

Countdown Mode:
Countdown mode will be used if a device is being used for a particular groups
of students, e.g. only Class III-G. In this case, the app would show the photos
and names of all 30 students to begin with. As students are tapped, those
names would be 'counted down', and towards the end only those photos and
names will be visible who are left/outstanding. This could also be used in the
middle of the day, e.g. for an Art Class. The art teacher would put the device in
countdown mode for that particular class as students enter the art classroom.
To start with, the names and photos of those students who are PRESENT
TODAY will be visible (so the teacher will know exactly who is absent from that
class and who to expect). As the students tap their cards onto the device, the

P a g e 3 | 16
students who are yet to enter will be visible on the screen. This module should
display live data and reports on screen at any point of time. On the web end,
the reports must have the options to save, print and email.

Day Attendance Morning:

Attendance while entering into the School premises, students will scan these
cards by tapping it to the tablets. Entry points will be different for each section
of the School which will help to divide the flow equally. Ideally, tablet should
have the students’ data in its memory along with the picture so that it does not
need to fetch the data from server every time. (If suppose, data of one
student is on 50 KBs then the complete data of 3000 students would be about
150000 KBs (approx.) = 150–155 MBs(approx.) and our tablets have internal
memory of about 16GB). This will also help in making the process fast and
reliable even if the Wi-Fi signal drops, the tablet should be capable enough to
work on its own for a while and once it gets the lost connection back, it
synchronies the data with server. Morning times are different for Starters
section as it has junior classes like Pre-Nurseries & KGs whereas Juniors,
Meddlers & Seniors follow the same timings. To set these parameters we need
to have a customized setup page to indicate different timings for different
classes/sections etc. For unlocking the devices for attendance, key cards will be
issued. These cards will be given to the users. Every card will have its own
limitation, rights and authority which can be set through policy settings at the
web end and can be changed any time.

Exit Attendance:
Exit Attendance will be taken in two different ways as the Exit procedure
differs from North Campus to South Campus.

North Campus:
For North Campus the exiting procedure is different as only authorized person
can pick up the child from School by showing their Guardian Cards. Four
guardians can be assigned to one card (for e.g. parents, uncle, aunt, driver etc).
As soon as the Guardian taps the card the tablet will show the information
saved and the tablet user will select the person who has come to pick up the
child. After this the guardian will be allowed to enter into the School premises.
While exiting from School the student will tap his card and machine will display
the selected guardian and the student’s picture to confirm the pickup. Once
confirmed by the user the guardian can take the child out. This will help in

P a g e 4 | 16
keeping the track of proper pickups. If someone, other than authorized
guardian comes to pick up the child, he/she will be sent to the School’s Front
Office for further confirmation over the phone. Van Drivers: Students who go
by Van will have the similar procedure for exiting the only difference will be
that their guardian card will be used by the Van driver. As soon as the van
driver taps his card the machine will display his information along with the
information of students he is authorized to pick. He can then take the students
out upon confirmation.

South Campus:
For South Campus the exit procedure is simple as students will tap their card
while entering into the vans. This will also help to ensure that the child
boarded the van along with its out time. We must have options to add
customize attendance like Class Attendance, Resource Attendance, Sports
Attendance etc. These must have option to get attendance of parents,
guardians, van drivers, employee etc.

Scope of Services:
We are providing you an Android and web application based solution for
attendance marking. We will also provide you RFID enabled ID cards to
students and intending to give the same to parents, guardians, van drivers,
users (using tablets for attendance) and employees (Heads, teachers, admin
staff etc.). These RFID cards are readable by NFC enabled Android tablets,
connected over Wi-Fi. Students will be wearing RFID cards throughout the day
and Tablets will be held by the staff for marking attendance. Staff (users) have
their own cards to get access on Android App or manually. Initially this system
should be applicable to handle daily attendance of students. The application
will support the future growth of students and data input modules.

Project Management Project Structure:

An assigned project manager will be made available to present information
and coordinate with [Other Company] Team, including a reasonable number of
meetings to present design and development solutions.

We will provide the necessary reporting as required by our clients and we are
also open to communicate on daily basis as well, we can report using emails,
chat and phone.

Effort Estimation:
This project need the cost and effort with its associated quantity of resources
at the beginning of this project. Information Mining projects are not an
exception to this requirement, particularly when they are required by Small
and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). An existing Information Mining projects
estimation method is not reliable for small-sized projects because it tends to
overestimates the estimated efforts. Therefore, considering the characteristics
of these projects developed with the CRISP-DM methodology, an estimation
method oriented to SMEs is proposed in this paper. First, the main features of
SMEs’ projects are described and applied as cost drivers of the new method
with the corresponding formula. Then this is validated by comparing its results
to the existing estimation method using SMEs real projects. As a result, it can
Ibex seen that the proposed method produces a more accurate estimation
than the existing estimation method for small-sized projects.
