INTRODUCTION
The floor choke manifold consists of seven manual valves. It used to control
the follow rate and reduce well pressure before the flow enters the
processing equipments. These also include a variable choke box, a fix choke
box, and several pressure and sampling ports and thermo well to monitor
pressure, temp. and fluid characteristics.
These design allows the well to flow through calibrated chokes for flow rate
reference, as well as through adjustable chokes. The well can also be placed
in a shut-in condition if required. Dual flow path allow fast choke changes
without interrupting the flow. Fixed chokes can be installed in both flow paths
if necessary.
A number of models and sizes are available for different well pressures,
temps. and flow raters. The manifold rates w.p. 69 MPa (10000 psi.) is
typically equipped with standard hammer union, but they can be fitted with
other connections, such as API-6A & Grayloc flanges.

03 I. PERIODIC MAINTENANCE. 2
INTRODUCTION
Parveen products assures you of dependable valve which will give you years of
trouble free service with a minimum care and maintenance. The manual prepared to
assist our valve owner in the installation, operation and routine maintenance of
Parveen valves. Further any special instruction, assistance or service please write
or call our factory, our nearest representative. This manual applies only for Parveen
model- slab gate valve.
These valves are bi-directional-slab-gate type with pressure-actuated seats features:
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: -
All the valves are supplied in a ready but should be inspected for loose or damage
during transportation. Valve must be in opened before installing and hydro-testing
valves should be thoroughly drained to eliminate water on other test fluid from body.
When hand wheel rotated in clockwise direction the gate moves across the conduit
openings. The floating action of the gate and seat makes a total pressure actuated
seal, which holds tight both upstream and downstream pressure. Because of this
pressure-actuated type of seal, it is not necessary to close or open the model-t valve
hard to affect a tight seal. In case of very low pressure differential in slab model
valve, it is advantageous to back off on turn from full open on full closed position to
allow the gate and seats to float freely and effect a tighten sealing.

NACE Nuts
a. ASTM a 194 Gr. 2 HM is provided for all API flange sizes and rated working pressure.
b. For NACE Class I, UNS no. 05500 or ASTM A 453 Gr. 660 nuts can be used with NACE Class I bolting after making
provisions to prevent galling.
General Note:
a. Bolting material will not be used beyond temperature limits specified in the governing Code.
Notes:
1. Repair welding of bolting material is prohibited.
2. These bolting materials may be used with all listed materials and gaskets.
3. These bolting materials may be used with all listed materials and gaskets, provided it has been verified that as
Sealed Joint can be maintained under rated working pressure and temperature.
4. These bolting materials may be used with all listed materials but are limited to class 150 and class 300 Joints.
5. These materials may be used as bolting with comparable nickel and special alloy parts.
6. This austenitic stainless material has been carbide solution treated but not strain hardened. Use A 194 Nuts of
corresponding material.
7. Nut may be machined from the same material or may be of a compatible grade of ASTM A194.
8. Maximum operating temperature is arbitrarily set at 5000 F (2600 C) because hard temper adversely affects design
stress in the creep rupture range.
9. Forging quality not permitted unless the producer last heating or working these parts tests them as required for other
permitted conditions in the same specification and certifies their final tensile, yield, and elongation properties to
equal or exceed the requirements for one of the other permitted conditions.
10. This ferritic material is intended for low temperature service. Use A 194 Gr 4 or Gr 7 nuts.
11. This austenitic stainless material has been carbide solution treated and strain hardened. Use A 194 nuts of
corresponding material.
12. This carbon steel fastener shall not be used above 4000 F (2000 C) or below -200 F (-290 C). See also note 4. Bolts
with drilled or undersized heads shall not be used.
13 Acceptable nuts for use with quenched and tempered Bolts are A 194 Gr 2 and Gr 2H. Mechanical property
requirements for studs shall be the same as those for bolts.
14 This special alloy is intended for high temperature service with austenitic stainless steel.
