II. ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT AND SCOPE
Under the Health and Gender Support Project (HGSP) in Cox Bazaar district in Bangladesh, IOM
has been given the mandate on strengthening Government capacity to provide quality health care
by providing qualified health staff at District Sadar hospital, Distribution of Essential medical
equipment and supplies and improving the infrastructure at District Sadar Hospital (DSH) and at
Community Clinics (CCs). The Hospital Provides comprehensive secondary level health care
services including Outpatient and In-patient services, General, orthopaedic and Gynaecological
surgery, Trauma care, BEMONC, CEMONC, Laboratory, Radiographic, pharmacy and
ambulance services.
Under the technical guidance of the head of the relevant department and direct supervision of the
Superintendent of District Sadar Hospital in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, the successful candidate will
be responsible and accountable for providing quality health care services aligned with DGHS
guideline at District Sadar Hospital, Cox’s Bazar.

IV. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
EDUCATION
Completed Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from a recognized
institution.
Registration license from Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council.
EXPERIENCE
Knowledge and experience with working in field Hospitals, public health sector, medical
emergencies and Trauma management.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in hardship situations and harmoniously within a team
of colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds.
Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
Proficient in the English language.
