limitations prevailing at the time of inspection such as access, time available and ship

Fair:
Fairly well maintained, known deficiencies are of a minor nature not requiring immediate
correction; but attention is envisaged in areas soonest to prevent deterioration.

Summary Comments
SA

The vessel was built in the year of XXX in XXXX to good specifications in general.
Construction took about 6 years till delivery due yard financial issues.

The overall condition of the vessel was considered as fair, with few areas needing attention.

All certificates sighted were found to be valid, no COC of class noted. Class renewal survey
will be due by May 2019 along with docking. IWS was in November 2016. On Oct 25th, 2016
the vessel apparently ran aground due steering failure.

Starboard side shell plating in way of frames 37 ~ 41 was seen heavily indented but as per
class memo says indent is within limits. Rust spots were seen on underdeck structure and
variously on sides of deck. Fresh new coating has been applied in patches recently. Various
gratings and supports were seen rusty on edges.

Fittings, flanges support of equipment on monkey island was seen with spot rusty areas. Small
dia lines U clamps were rusty and hydraulic lines seen rusted in patches for mooring
machinery in hard to access areas, under platforms etc.

The cargo lines and manifold connections were all reported to be of carbon steel and were
satisfactory in general, barring spot wastage at support contact points. The hydraulic pipe lines
for deck machinery systems were seen to be in satisfactory condition, barring spot rust and
rust stains. Hydraulic lines for cargo valves were seen to be satisfactory.

Steam lines are of mild steel in and with no insulation in sighted areas. Branch lines were also
without insulation. In general steam lines were satisfactory.

The vessel was fully loaded with gasoline, so no tanks were available for access. The cargo
tanks are constructed with higher tensile steel and are coated with “EPILITE SL—C” (pure
epoxy) in two coats of total 250 microns DFT.

As per survey report of the last special survey all cargo and slop tanks were rated with coating
as “good”. Rating of collection tank was not sighted.

WBT coating was good but spot rusts seen on few edges, rusty patches on under decks etc
and rust seeping through coating at locations.

All bridge navigation and communication equipment were reported to be in good operating
condition. 2 x ECDIS is fitted.

The impression of the engine room and the auxiliary equipment was fair with few exceptions.
Lube oil analysis stated oil is in alert condition for ME due higher viscosity, possible blow past
etc. No major overhauls have been carried out so far as reported on ME so all units will now

oil and BT oils is not EAL compliant.

No proper records sighted on voyage performances and to obtain from owners. As per specs
vessel has combined shaft alternator / Propulsion motor system, but no one had info on this
matter so must be verified if indeed fitted.

BWTP and EGCS is not fitted.

Description
The vessel is a double hull, oil tanker with segregated ballast tanks as side / double bottom
tanks along with fore peak and after peak tank. Vessel has a deadweight of XX MT, GRT of
XX (reduced gross tonnage of 22,267) and a NRT of XX Vessel has overall length of 179.8
mtrs, breath of XX mtrs and molded depth of XX mtrs.

The vessel is registered in Panama under the Panamanian flag and is classed with NKK with
class notation of NK, NS*, (Tanker, Oils-Flash Point below 60 Deg C) (ESP), MNS*, MO

Vessel has a total of 6 Port / Starboard, epoxy coated cargo tanks and one set of port and
starboard slop tanks at the aft. A collection tank is also provided between the slop tanks for
dedicated slop usage. The 98 pct cargo tank capacity is listed as 54,431.1 m3 including the
slop tanks. For ballast the vessel has six sets of combined side / double bottom tanks along
with forepeak and after peak tanks. The 100 pct ballast capacity is listed as19,048.08 m3

The pipe lines in way of the main deck are on raised supports thus making it easier to walk
under the pipe lines and carry out maintenance.

The cargo lines and manifold connections were all reported to be of carbon steel and were
satisfactory in general, barring spot wastage at support contact points.

barring spot rust and rust stains. Hydraulic lines for cargo valves were seen to be satisfactory.

Anchor and Chains

Vessel is fitted with two anchors which could not be seen from berth. The visible portions of
anchor chains appeared in fair condition though did not appear with excess diminutions. No
loose studs were sighted.

The latest anchor chain calibration records found onboard, dated Jan 2018, were inspected
and found satisfactory with max diminution of about 5 pc.

Cargo Systems ( Photographs)

Tank Configuration
Vessel has a total of 6 Port / Starboard, epoxy coated cargo tanks and one set of port and
starboard slop tanks at the aft. A collection tank is also provided between the slop tanks for

dedicated slop usage. The 98 pct cargo tank capacity is listed as 54,431.1 m3 including the
slop tanks. No 4 COT may be used for heavy weather ballast.

Vessel can carry four grades of cargo with double valve segregation.

The cargo tanks are constructed with horizontally corrugated transverse bulkheads and
straight longitudinal central corrugated bulkhead.

The specific gravity of cargo in all tanks is 1.025, for scantling calculations.

Tank Fittings
Each tank is equipped with a tank dome, one PV valve, Mussasino Float magnetic type
sounding system, combined 95 and 98.5 pct alarm, manual ullage port, fixed cleaning
machines, portable cleaning machine openings etc.

All Cargo, slop tanks and collection are fitted with stainless steel SUS 316L steam heating
coils. Drop lines are provided for each segregation.

Tank Cleaning Machines

Fixed Machines Toftejorg, x 15 (two in each COT and 1 in each Slop /
Collect tanks).

Tank cleaning pump COP is used

Cargo tanks are fitted with two fixed cleaning machines each. Slop tanks and collection tank
have one machine each

Cargo Heating
All cargo and slop tanks are provided with two sets of SUS 316 L stainless steel steam heating
coils as per VPQ. Staff reported that all coils are in operational condition. No problems were
reported.

Machinery spaces(Photographs)

General
The impression of the engine room was generally poor. All machinery appeared in fair
condition, several oil stains were noted on the floors and the pipelines, with scattered tools
and oil collection arrangements.

Bilges were dirty with floating oil.

Small sign of exhaust gas leaks was seen in areas and piping insulation were seen loose and
detached at places.

Exhaust Gas Cleaning System Scrubber ( EGCS)

An Exhaust Gas Cleaning System is fitted to remove sulphur oxides from ship’s engine and
boiler exhaust gases. Maker XXXX and installed in Jn XXX. This is an open loop type Or
Closed or Hybrid

System was reported to be use and Logs obtained of 2018

Main Engine
Main engine is a Mitsui B&W 7S60MC, Two Cycle, Single acting, Cross head type, direct
reversible type with MCR of 12,100 PS at 94 rpm and NCR of 10,890 PS at 90.8 rpm. Engine
runs on IFO 380.

1. SAMPLE Several notable memorandums were noted, including that of the annual
inspection several ballast tanks.

2. SAMPLE As per last UTG, main deck plating in way of cargo oil tanks showed some
higher diminutions and stringers in WBT no 7 showed high diminution in way of pittings.
3. SAMPLE In 2004 main deck was noted with a hairline crack at frame 63 near weld of
hose handling crane.
