2. What did Jesus do during the last
supper?
__________________________
3. What happened after supper?

Let us Know!

Jesus suffered much because of his

great love for us. He sacrificed his life for us.
Through it, he showed us his unconditional love.
He also loved those who were unkind to him.
Jesus wants us to do the same with our
fellowmen. He wants us to love others
unconditionally, even our enemies.
We should always remember and
appreciate Jesus’s sacrifice and love. We should
show our love in return by always talking to him in
prayer and by attending Mass or worship service.
Young as you are, you should also already begin to
read bible stories. All these things bring us closer
to God.

Lesson 4

LEARNING HOW TO ACT

AS A CHILD OF GOD
Quarter 4-Weeks 4

Look back!
One way to show that we are a child of God is by treating
others kindly and fairly. Recall three instances about this.
1. ______________________
2. ______________________
3. ______________________

Heads Up!
Read the story.
Like a Brother

Tony was my best friend. I always invite him over

to our house. We play outdoor games after finishing our
homework. Sometimes, he would help me with my chores.
Tony was a good person. His parents raised him
well. My family and I loved having him around.
One day, I asked him if I could visit him and meet
his family. Tony suddenly felt shy. He told me that they were
poor. They only lived in a small house with no electricity. I
said that it did not matter because we were friends. He has
nothing to be ashamed of because he was a good person.
After that, I did not see Tony for two days. I asked
my parents if we could visit Tony. We went to Tony’s house.

We met his mother and father. They were people just like
Tony. They were honest and kind.
I talked to Tony and told him that it did not
matter if he was rich or poor. What mattered was that he
was a kind person and good friend.
Tony was happy to hear that I regarded him as a
friend even though he was poor. I told him that my parents
taught me to treat everyone fairly and kindly regardless of
what they look like, or whether they are rich or poor. In
God's eyes, we are all the same. We are all His children.

Answer these questions.

1. Why did Tony suddenly become shy?
___________________________
3. What did Tony’s friend do when Tony did
not show up?
4. How would you treat someone in the
neighborhood who is poor but kind and
honest like Tony?
___________________________
Let us Know!
Always remember the following:
1. Being fair means accepting everybody,
regardless of who or what they are.
2. Being fair to everyone pleases God.
3. God loves one of us. He treats us equally. We
are all special to Him.
4. We should be fair to everybody.
22

5. We should respect other people’s beliefs

Let us Know!
Positive thinking is having hope that will
succeed in whatever you are doing. By not giving up, you
are more motivated to do your best. You will try to find
ways of improving yourself and your talents and
abilities.
You may commit mistakes but you know that
this is expected. What is important is that you do not
stop until you get it right.
Every day, we encounter challenges. Some
are easy, while some are difficult. We must develop
positive thinking so that we can continue learning and
become strong individuals. We should also not lose
hope. God will always be there to guide and help us.
