ABOUT JJT UNIVERSITY
Vision
To provide value based Quality Education & Research for self reliance.
Mission
Transformation of society by establishing quality based educational institutions with a strong
base in Indian values for sustainable exploitation of natural resources through development
of human resources.
To provide advance knowledge and educate students including the under privileged in
science, technology and other areas that will best serve the nation and mankind in the 21st
century. This we believe will enable us to build up a society based on equality and
democratic values.
Location
The University is situated at Vidyanagari, Jhunjhunu Churu Road, Chudella, Dist.
Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan and can be easily reached by rail, road, and air. It is 200 k.m. from
Jaipur, 245 k.m. from Delhi & 30 k.m. from Churu Railway Station (Nearest Airport is Jaipur
& Delhi).
SALIENT FEATURES
1. Infrastructure
The University campus is spread across 30 acres of land with approximately 2.0 Lakhs sq.ft
of built up area and having most modern infrastructural facilities within the campus.
2. Faculty
The University is being provided with qualified and experienced faculties. At the same time
several experienced visiting faculties are invited to give exposure to the students. At
present, there are more than 4000 Research Guides in various subjects and University is
aiming to register 1000 more Guides for the benefit of students in near future.
3. Library
A Central Library spanning over more than 15000 sq.ft area
and having over 51,000 books of different titles, 1500 journals,
300 magazines and periodicals are provided for the students.
University is Member of various E Libraries where student can
access various journals from their home. SOUL - software is
installed to access library books.
ATM is installed within the campus.
4. Computer Lab
University Lab is having State of Art Computer
Laboratory and campus have fully Wi Fi connected.
5. Accommodation
The following facilities have been developed
• Separate hostel facilities for Girls and Boys with
attached bathrooms

• Necessary furniture, cub board etc.
• Common room for general activities like cable TV, Telephone and Indoor games in Hostel.
• Air-cooled Rooms with 24 hours water supply.
• Air-conditioned Guest Houses
6. Canteen
The University has a spacious and well furnished canteen which
serves all vegetarian dishes.
7. Sports Complex & Gymnasium
A modern sports facilities containing both indoor and outdoor games
providing a cricket ground, volley-ball court, basket-ball court, foot-
ball, hockey ground, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, Carom, Chess etc.
RULES FOR THE DEGREE OF DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY [Ph.D.]
Shri JJTU University offers three years research programmes in different subjects in inter-
disciplinary areas leading to the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy. A candidate shall ordinarily
work in a recognized place of research including the University Departments and Research
Institutes recognized by the University under the supervision of a research guide recognized
by the University. The rules regarding eligibility, registration, supervision, submission and
evaluation of thesis, viva voce and defence of thesis shall be as follows:
ELIGIBILITY
1. For admission to the Ph.D. programme in a subject in any faculty, applicants fulfilling the
following criteria shall be treated as eligible:
a: Persons having passed Post Graduate Degree Examinations with at least 55% marks
or having grade equivalent thereto awarded by the concerned University.
b: Those belonging to reserve category are eligible at 50%.
Admission Process
Submit the following documents along with application form.
10th, 12th, UG & PG Certificates & Mark Sheet Certified Copies and 4 Photographs,

Aadhar Card, Migration Certificate.
l
Student is expected to bring a hand written Research Proposal of 2 to 4 pages with details
like purpose of study, hypothesis, methodology etc.
(Question Paper is objective type.)

NOTE : Scholar may deposit Registration fee Rs. 2000/- alongwith 1st Installment
Rs. 30000/- through NEFT/RTGS/IMPS in University account

Minimum Criteria for Ph.D.
1. Publish 2 Research papers in Shri JJT University’s ISSN numbered referred journal.
2. Participate four conferences two of which should be international nature and two of
national. Scholar is expected to present 2 papers in any of the seminar and submit the
print copy at University.
3. To do one semester course work visit University campus and attend Research
Methodology, Computer Application, Quantitative techniques, Research & Publication
Ethics.
4. Besides class lectures, assignment i.e Critical Review of Literature - Minimum of 10
Articles from referred Journals with ISSN Numbers, on the topics of his/her research work.
Critical Review of Literature Minimum 5 Books/Patents/Journals, with ISBN Numbers.
5. Assignment III - Assignment of Research Methodology, Computer Application,
Quantitative Technique and Research and Publication Ethics from given topic.

lA yellow Dairy given at time of admission in which the progress shall be recorded and
signed by the Guide.

DRC :-
lAfter 12 months of registration Scholar will make a Power point presentation of Synopsis
before the DRC Committee and incorporate the points suggested and submit the hard
copy of Synopsis of 20-24 pages to be uploaded in Shodhgangothri.
lSoft copy of Thesis can be mailed to the University E-mail ID - thesis@jjtu.ac.in, in the
28th Month for plagiarism check to be made in the Anti-plagiarism software. The
university will permit a maximum of 10% and 1st page to last page of the Thesis will be
uploaded. Thesis should contain minimum 250 pages besides all images/drawings.
lRepeat check of Plagiarism of the Thesis will be on chargeable basis on every time.

Summary
Ø
20 to 25 pages of Summary should be mail to summary@jjtu.ac.in after the synopsis
which will be evaluated by the Committee of the University.

Soft copy of thesis shall be checked by plagiarism software by the University. First time
plagiarism free.
Ø
7 hard copies, 2 CD (Soft copy) along with copy of plagiarism report of final thesis
about 250 pages should be submitted.
NOTE :
Along with submission of thesis copy of Receipts of total fees paid from time to
time must be enclosed.
