PREFACE

The objective of this PMR is to present systematic maintenance for


Solar Turbines Taurus – 70 driven Compressor Set / packages, this
include Gas Producer, Power Turbine, control system, Protection
System, Lube Oil system, Sealing System and Increaser Gear
Box( If available ). Maintenance of the engine and control system
equipment is required at established intervals such as Daily
inspection, 4K inspection, 8K inspection, Engine crank Soak wash,
Boroscope inspection and Engine Exchange. The recommended
intervals are for nominal envinronmental and operating conditions.
Severe envinronments and extreme conditions may required more
frequent and extensive maintenance.
The local envinronment, operating conditions, practices and
availability of skilled technicians must be important considered in
establishing maintenance plan, and preventive maintenance at
specific interval will minimizes corrective maintenance later on.

1. INTRODUCTION

Daily maintenance includes a walk - around inspection to


ensure is equipment is functioning properly and to detect leak
or obvious faults. Operating parameters should be recorded
and analyzed for trend. This will helps predict faults and daily
equipment not required equipment shutdown.

Semi annual maintenance includes emphasizes protective


system check out and ensure optimum equipment performance.

Check general condition and dust loading.
If generally in good order allow continued

Maintenance – General Element Filter

For main lube oil and fuel filter housings,

collected in a suitable recovery container or
system. Clean up any spilt oil to the skid
and local surroundings.
