    SUBJECT : Spot Report re Shooting Incident

    DATE : October 29, 2019

    1. Reference: Spot report from PD, Pangasinan PPO dated October 28, 2019 with same
    subject as above.

    2. This pertains to a shooting incident transpired at about 3:00 PM in Brgy. Nalsian,


    Calasiao Pangasinan wherein the victim is identified as Retired Police General Marlou Chan, 57
    y/o, retired PNP Member and a resident of San Quintin, Pangasinan.
    3. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that Chan was onboard of his Orange Ford
    Ranger pick-up bearing plate number ABC 123 when fired upon by unidentified riding-in-tandem
    criminals. A CCTV footage showed that 4 unidentified suspects riding in a motorcycle stood by and
    waited for the victim near the San-Miguel-Nalsian Intersection and fired upon causing the incident.
    4. As a result thereof, Chan sustained gunshot wounds on different parts of his body and
    was rushed to Villaflor Hospital, Dagupan City but was declared DOA by the attending Physician
    while his driver remained unhurt. This office is now conducting in depth investigation for the
    possible identification and apprehension of the suspect/s who immediately fled to unknown direction
    after the incident. Recovered from the crime scene were 5 fired cartridges of alleged Cal. 45
    firearm. The driver is now under the custody of this office for further investigation. The motive of the
    incident is still undetermined.
