    Exercise 1

    Paraphrase the following sentences. They can be paraphrase at word, phrase, sentence or
    even sentence structures levels

    1. New insecticides are produced each year by chemical companies around the world.
    - Every year, new insecticides are manufactured by chemical companies globally.

    2. Every day throughout the world, millions of children are being mistreated and used as
    child-slaves to produce cheap labor.
    - Globally, millions of children are abused every single day and used as child-slaves for
    cheap labor.

    3. Sedentary routine and insufficient nutrient intake are the major contributing factors in the
    rise of life-taking diseases.
    - The major contributing factors in the rise of fatal diseases are inadequate intake of
    nutrient and inactive routine.

    4. Human trafficked victims become bonded laborers when their labor is demanded as a
    means of repayment for a loan or service, a situation where victims are forced to work
    against their own will to settle their debts.
    - When bonded labor is demanded as a repayment for a loan or service, human
    trafficked victims become bonded laborers, where victims are forced to work unwillingly
    to clear their debts.

    5. Though a ban on child labor is in placed in Nepal, an estimated 1.6 million children
    between the ages of 5 and 17 are in the work force.

    under aged workers, their parents and their employers.
