    ‘Nutritious Yema using Banana Peel’

    I .INTRODUCTION

    Filipino men nowadays are more into sweet products such as candies, chocolates, and
    especially the sweet Yema in such different occasion like parties, anniversaries or even in normal
    days as if we all know that these product are very rich in sugars which can causes certain illness
    like toothache or worst it can leads to diabetes. This phenomenon leads to the proposal of
    creating a nutritious yema that is made of Banana peel. Thus it will help individual in engaging
    themselves into eating healthier foods that will suit to their taste and budget and at the same time
    the environment to lessen the waste present.

    II.PURPOSE

    To help individual in engaging themselves into nutritious foods that will suit to their taste
    and budget and lastly the environment in reducing the waste present in our society.

    III. PROJECT DESCRIPTION

    The said proposal are going to create a new idea of yema which turning it into a
    nutritious one with the use of Banana peel as it is believed in some studies that it contains
    vitamins, mineral and nutrients which is good for our health so it’s like from trash and junk into
    a healthier and consumable product that promotes the value of being eco-friendly.

    IV. PROBLEM AND SIGNIFICANCE

    Filipinos nowadays are very prone to diabetes as for reason of mush consuming sweets
    that’s why the researchers try to look for a way on how to solve it buy making the nutritious
    yema that is made of banana peel as it is believed in some studies stating that banana peel
    contains a lot of vitamins. Mineral and nutrients that is very much helpful in keeping our body
    much healthier and stronger. Second and foremost this is not just individuals but it can also help
    the environment in trying to lessen the waste percentage so it’s like instead of throwing the
    banana peel we use its advantage like its health contents to come up a nutritious yema.

    V.APPROACH/ METHODOLOGY

    The study will conduct a survey using questionnaires by which the selected respondents
    are the Grade 12 academic stands students and TLE teachers. The study is much believe that it is
    effective and efficient in terms of health and environment benefits.
    VI.IMPACTS AND OUTCOMES

    The main problem that will be solved in helping individuals to engage themselves into
    healthier foods that suit to their taste, budget and it is good for their health. This will provide
    them a new idea of how useful banana peel is instead of throwing them. Lastly is in our
    environment in helping to lessen the waste percentage as we are going to recycle.

    VII. PROJECT TEAM

    The key collaborator of our study is the department of Science and Technology (DOST).

    VIII. BUDGET/TIMELINE

    The said study will takes (1) one month at most 1000 pesos is needed because of well
    going to test its expiration date to make sure that it is still safe to consume.
