For years researchers have been trying to determine if the
phantom island of Hy’Brasil – said to be just a few miles
off the east coast of Ireland – exists.
Don’t worry – not many have heard of the “island” but
researchers have been trying to crack the myth for
centuries.
Some claim its existence is nothing more than a fairytale
but there are many who claim to have encountered
Hy’Brasil – with some truly spooky outcomes.
Maps drawn up from the years 1374 to 1595 all include
the island Hy’Brasil – which translated means High King of
the World after its derived from the word Breasal.
The island is depicted as circular.
Although the satellite technology we have today was
centuries away, the maps feature the island in relatively
the same place.
And as existence of Atlantis remains the most well-known
of legends in popular culture today, there are more
documented sightings of Hy’Brasil in history.
It’s believed the first group to have discovered the land
were explorers from Bristol who set out in 1480 with the
intention of reaching Hy’Brasil.
Sea captain John Nisbet of Killybegs is claimed to have seen the island during his voyage from
France to Ireland 200 years later.
The last documented sighting was by author T.J Westropp, who is claimed to have seen the island
with companions before it disappeared.
It’s believed the island appears once every seven years shrouded in thick mist.
Arguably the most chilling of links to the existence of Hy’Brasil is its appearance in the Rendlesham
Forest incident in December 1980.
Something Gets Weirder.
The event is described as Britain’s Roswell and is the most famous documented UFO incident in UK
history.
It’s alleged there were various sightings of UFOs near Rendlesham Forest in Suffolk just outside
RAF Woodbridge.
The base was used at the time by the US Air Force.
Jim Penniston, a sergeant based at the air base, claims he came into contact with a triangular
spaceship that had landed in the forest.
Upon touching it, he was hit with a mass of binary code burned into his mind.
He later had the code translated – with truly bizarre and spine-tingling results.
It’s claimed the translation included a cryptic message with the coordinates to some of the world’s
most spiritual and supernatural locations – and, of course, Hy’Brasil.
The translation is said to have revealed the message: “Exploration of humanity. Continuous for
planetary advancement.”
It was then followed by coordinates for the great pyramid of Giza in Egypt, the Nazca Lines in Peru,
the Tai Shan Qu in China and the Temple of Apollo in Naxos, Greece.
The message then ended with the coordinates believed to be for Hy’Brasil –
52.0942532N 13.131269W – with the words: “Origin year 8100”.
Inputting the coordinates into Google Maps takes the user to an area of the Atlantic
Ocean just to the south-west of Ireland.
Interestingly, RAF Woodbridge came back onto the news agenda this month after Gary
Heseltine, a former police officer, claimed UFOs visited the site interested in a “secret”
stash of nuclear weapons.
Other descriptions of Hy’Brasil have suggested it is inhabited by a highly-advanced

culture who move objects using music.

and southern regions is dominated by Caracol, an urban political centre

Mountains, the most important political centre was Lamanai. In the
late Classic Era of Maya civilisation (600–1000 AD), as many as 1 million
people may have lived in the area that is now Belize.
When Spanish explorers arrived in the 16th century, the area that is now
Belize included three distinct Maya territories: Chetumal province, which
encompassed the area around Corozal Bay; Dzuluinicob province, which
encompassed the area between the New River and the Sibun River, west
to Tipu; and a southern territory controlled by the Manche Ch'ol Maya,
encompassing the area between the Monkey River and the Sarstoon River

and self-exploration. These are places where the earth seems
especially alive with energy. Many people feel inspired,
recharged or uplifted after visiting a vortex.

The Great Pyramid of Giza (also known as the Pyramid of Khufu or
the Pyramid of Cheops) is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids in
the Giza pyramid complex bordering what is now El Giza, Egypt. It is the oldest
of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the only one to remain largely
intact.
Based on a mark in an interior chamber naming the work gang and a reference
to the fourth dynasty Egyptian Pharaoh Khufu, Egyptologists believe that the
pyramid was built as a tomb over a 10- to 20-year period concluding around 2560
BC. Initially at 146.5 metres (481 feet), the Great Pyramid was the tallest man-
made structure in the world for more than 3,800 years. Originally, the Great
Pyramid was covered by limestone casing stones that formed a smooth outer
surface; what is seen today is the underlying core structure. Some of the casing
stones that once covered the structure can still be seen around the base. There
have been varying scientific and alternative theories about the Great Pyramid's
construction techniques. Most accepted construction hypotheses are based on
the idea that it was built by moving huge stones from a quarry and dragging and
lifting them into place.

The Nazca Lines /ˈnæzkɑː/ are a series of large ancient geoglyphs in the Nazca Desert, in
southern Peru. The largest figures are up to 370 m (1,200 ft) long.[1] They were designated as
a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. Although some local geoglyphs resemble Paracas motifs,
scholars believe the Nazca Lines were created by the Nazca culture between 500 BC and 500 AD.

The figures vary in complexity. Hundreds are simple lines and geometric shapes; more than 70
are zoomorphic designs of animals, such as birds, fish, llamas, jaguars, and monkeys, or human
figures. Other designs include phytomorphic shapes, such as trees and flowers.
The designs are shallow lines made in the ground by removing naturally occurring reddish pebbles
and uncovering the whitish/grayish ground beneath. Scholars differ in interpreting the purpose of the
designs but, in general, they ascribe religious significance to them. [3][4][5][6]
Because of its isolation and the dry, windless, stable climate of the plateau, the lines have mostly
been preserved naturally. Extremely rare changes in weather may temporarily alter the general
designs. As of 2012, the lines are said to have been deteriorating because of an influx
of squatters inhabiting the lands.[7]
Contrary to the popular belief that the lines and figures can only be seen from an aircraft, they are
visible from the surrounding foothills and other high place
Anthropologists, ethnologists, and archaeologists have studied the ancient Nazca culture to try to

determine the purpose of the lines and figures. One hypothesis is that the Nazca people created
them to be seen by deities in the sky. Paul Kosok and Maria Reiche advanced a purpose related
to astronomy and cosmology: the lines were intended to act as a kind of observatory, to point to the
places on the distant horizon where the sun and other celestial bodies rose or set in the solstices.
Many prehistoric indigenous cultures in the Americas and elsewhere constructed earthworks that
combined such astronomical sighting with their religious cosmology, as did the late Mississippian
culture at Cahokia in present-day United States. Another example is Stonehenge in England.

Mount Tai (Chinese: 泰山; pinyin: Tài Shān) is a mountain of historical and cultural significance
located north of the city of Tai'an, in Shandong province, China. The tallest peak is the Jade
Emperor Peak (simplified Chinese: 玉皇顶; traditional Chinese: 玉皇頂; pinyin: Yùhuáng Dǐng),
which is commonly reported as 1,545 metres (5,069 ft) tall,[2] but is described by the PRC
government as 1,532.7 metres (5,029 ft).[3]
Mount Tai is known as the eastern mountain of the Five Great Mountains of China. It is associated
with sunrise, birth, and renewal, and is often regarded the foremost of the five. Mount Tai has been a
place of worship for at least 3,000 years and served as one of the most important ceremonial
centers of China[4] during large portions of this period.
Mount Tai is of key importance in Chinese religion, being the eastern one of the five Sacred
Mountains of China. According to historical records, Mount Tai became a sacred place visited by
emperors to offer sacrifices and meditate in the Zhou Dynasty before 1,000 BC. A total of 72
emperors were recorded as visiting it. Writers also came to acquire inspiration, to compose poems,
write essays, paint and take pictures. Hence, a great many cultural relics were left on the mountain.

He was initially a member of the oligarchy which ruled Naxos. In 546 BC, Lygdamis
supported the former Athenian tyrant Peisistratos in his landing at Marathon which led to the
restoration of Peisistratos to power in Athens.[1]
The following year Lygdamis, taking advantage of discontent arising from the concentration
of wealth in the hands of the oligarchs, turned against the oligarchy and seized power as
tyrant with the aid of his ally Peisistratos. [2] He secured his position by exiling potential rivals
and extended his dominance over neighbouring islands such as Paros.[3]
The "Portara", the lintel of Lygdamis' Temple of Apollo at Naxos
Lygdamis contributed a force of mercenaries to aid his ally Polycrates, the powerful tyrant
of Samos, in his campaigns against Miletus and Mytilene.[4] Lygdamis had an ambitious
building program and in 530 BC he began work on a huge Temple of Apollo which was
never completed.[citation needed] The Portara, the lintel of the temple, stands today as one of the
chief landmarks of Naxos.
In 524 BC Lygdamis' rule over Naxos was ended when he was overthrown by the
intervention of a Spartan army.[2] Naxos continued to prosper in the years immediately after
Lygdamis' rule under a new oligarchy.
