The solid waste in our community is not properly treated by the

constituents of the barangay. The local government of Barangay Guadalupe
implemented the City Ordinance 1361 in which the solid waste should be
segregated from biodegradable, non- biodegradable and recyclable waste.
Those who do not follow the ordinance are penalized by the SISIT which is a
governmental team that monitors the waste segregation.
The respondents were the Barangay Officials and the Constituents of the
barangay. Conclusions and Recommendations were discussed afterwards. The
researchers used qualitative research. Qualitative research method was applied
by the researchers to combine various components of research in a reasonably
logical manner by providing insights about “how” to conduct research using a
particular methodology. It is a research method that focuses on obtaining data
through open-ended and conversational communication. This includes the
understanding of feelings, values, and perceptions that influence and underlie
behaviour.

Keywords: SOLID WASTE, SEGREGATION, MANAGEMENT
