Classroom Activity
Falls Presentation Task:
Design a set of four small posters OR create a PowerPoint presentation to promote
FALL PREVENTION to young workers. You can work in the classroom by yourself or with a partner, under the supervision of your teacher, OR work on this activity as a homework assignment.

Art supplies such as paper, pens or paints, glue and collage materials or computer with PowerPoint software.
The set of posters or PowerPoint presentation should be informative and should clearly show the main message of each poster or slide. You will need to undertake some research to complete this activity (start with the internet links above).
Your presentation or posters could focus on:
specific fall hazards – activities and tasks at home or at work that could expose people to the risk of falling. risk controls – things than can be done to eliminate or reduce the fall risks presented by the situations you have chosen. You should look at each job to see if it can be done from the ground, or – if not – what kind of protective measures need to be taken. Discuss with your teacher before you begin, and agree on the fall risks you will examine and the approach you will take.
