    I. Objectives:

    At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:


    K – Identify the defects of farm tools and remedies.
    S – Observe the ways to avoid farm tools’ accidents.
    A – Internalize the important guidelines for tools safety.

    II. Subject Matter:

    Topic: Defects of Farm Tools and Remedies

    Materials: Printed pictures, music, Instructional materials

    III. Procedure:

    A. Preparation
    1. Daily Routine
     Prayer
     Greeting
     Classroom Management
    2. Motivation
    Review the previous lesson by playing “Pass the Tape”. The tape will be pass from one
    student to another if the music plays. Once the music stops, the person who is holding
    the tape will be given a question to answer.
    B. Presentation
    Discuss the following hazards associated with exposure to farm tools:
    1. Shear/Cutting Points
    2. Pinch Points
    3. Wrap Points
    4. Crush Points
    5. Pull-In Points
    6. Springs
    Explain the 10 guidelines for tools safety.

    IV. Assessment:

    1. Present a picture that shows a sample farm accident. Allow the students to analyze the cause
    of the problem (main hazards involve) and the ways on how to avoid it.
