Fall 2020 Return to School Survey

Executive Summary
Issued: June 23, 2020

1
Executive Summary Overview
The safety and well-being of all students, families and employees remains our highest priority. As such, the
district is solidifying protocols for the return of students in fall 2020, in alignment with the guidance from the
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The district will utilize information from survey results,
feedback groups and continued collaboration with the Florida Department of Health and local medical
professionals (from Johns Hopkins’ All Children’s Hospital, BayCare and Community Health Centers of Pinellas),
to inform the plans for fall 2020.

The Pinellas County Schools Fall 2020 Return to School Survey was open on Monday, June 15 and closed on
Sunday, June 21. The survey and results below are structured in four sections: participant demographics,
comfort level for return to school, models of instruction and preventative measures for return to school. The
executive summary information below outlines the aggregated results for the entire district for all
participants. Please note, the wording of response options for some questions was specific to demographic
participant groups, in these cases the results for these questions are noted by demographic.
