“Thesis Oral Defense”
Second Semester, SY 2019 – 2020

Project Location: SHS Building, Tupsan National High School

Time Frame: January 20 – 21, 2020 and February 10 – 11, 2020

A. Description:

This activity will showcase outputs of Grade 12 students in research subject.


The Grade 12 students will present and share their research findings to the panel of
evaluators. In the process, they will be exposed to the research activity, thereby,
enhancing their communication skills, reasoning skills and research skills.

F. Rationale

Paving the way to quality education, Tupsan National High School has
embraced the challenge in cultivating research culture in school. Through the
research subjects in senior high school, the senior high school faculty have the
opportunity to involve themselves and their students in research. Through this,
students are given the chance to experience fact finding and actual research endeavor
which will expose and train them in the areas of research. This activity is viewed to
gradually develop research culture, appreciation of the importance of research in daily
life, and share research findings.

3. To train and expose learners to applications of research;
4. To produce hard copies of researches for future reference; and
5. To develop research culture in school.

K. Monitoring and Evaluation

Monitoring and evaluation of the development of research studies will be tasked


to the research coordinator and the M&E coordinator. To quality assure this project,
the proponent will use the standard format for M&E provided by the M&E coordinator.
