This position is focusing Host Community WASH response/Development program in Eight Upazilla of Cox’s Bazar District (rural and
urban).
Programme development and planning for host community program and introducing CATS, SLTS, Three Star Approach and
WASH in Institution (School & Health Carters) and Sanitation Marketing and for Water Supply Mini-piped water supply system in
rural and semi urban setting. Overall operational lead for the implementation of the WASH component Programme
management, monitoring and delivery of results under different PDs and Contracts in line with Country Program.

April to June 2019 (3MM)
This position is focusing humanitarian WASH response – 2019 Flood and Cyclone Idai in Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe. The
response was focusing two most vulnerable area Phalombe and Nsanje.
Conduct rapid WaSH assessment in conjunction with the relevant Public Health Promotion (PHP) and Emergency Food
Security and Vulnerable Livelihood (EFSVL) team member(s) and or adjust an assessment according to the changing context
(in the target active conflict areas and new areas that are affected by the ongoing conflict and crisis).
Manage and lead in technical assessment, planning, and provision of emergency water and sanitation services to affected
people
Develop rapid response plan, design, budget management and request & mobilize essential materials/ equipment needed for
45,000 individuals.
Work closely with members of other teams especially PHP and EFSVL, Protection, Gender, etc and other relevant agencies on
the ground.
Input into Country Programme early recovery plan and activities for WASH as required.
Hit the ground running and make decisions quickly with limited information and lead team for Public Health Engineering
(repairing/rehabilitation/disinfection of water points, repairing/rehabilitation of institutional – School, Health Center and shelter
WASH facilities, new borehole drilling, Distribution of WASH and Shelter NFI and Water Filter) works.
Conduct Market Assessment for WASH and Shelter NFI closely with logistic team.
Comfortable to work in difficult living and working conditions.
Provide hands-on support and leadership in the implementation of PHE works including capturing best practices, lessons
learned, case stories, key data collection/ preservation/ analysis/ synthesis etc.
Contribute to donor reporting, budgeting and new proposals when required
Lead in preparation of procurement, supply, implementation plan and reports on a regular basis. Lead to prepare and share

Ensure that WASH project activities are planned and implemented on time in line with contractual obligations and accountable
approaches with communities;
Ensure appropriate design, construction and implementation of WASH hardware is undertaken according to technical standards
(SPHERE, Oxfam WASH Minimum standards);
Work closely with Oxfam’s partners in Somali region to facilitate and coordinate effective delivery of WASH component of
drought response; This will include significant presence at field locations to provide pro-active support and undertake M&E;

This position is focusing humanitarian WASH response.
Established Surface Water Treatment (SWAT) Plant with the capacity of 360 m 3 /day and Water Supply Distribution Network
through-out the for Nayapara Camp, which includes site selection, design and construction of water systems also developing
production well for using ground water, including abstraction, storage, treatment and distribution for new systems, in
consultation with the affected population and the PHP team appropriate to the context.
Provide support in selecting, design and implement the most appropriate form of sanitation system considering less desludge
criteria like warm based toilet and communal latrine with plastic septic tank, in consultation with the beneficiaries and the PHP
team, which includes excreta disposal, refuse disposal, vector control and drainage.
Provide support to formulate and implement capacity building plans for teams and individuals.
Closely work with management, logistic, finance and administrative duties and coordination with other members of the project
and with staff of other organisations.
Represent Oxfam to other NGOs, Camp Management agencies, Government authorities and cluster.
