    ENGLISH EXERCISES

    CLASS : XI

    I. Read the cause, write the effect, then write the complete sentence using signal words. The first
    one has been done for you.

    1. Cause : It was very windy.

    Effect : All the flights were cancelled.

    Sentence : It was very windy; therefore, all the flight were cancelled.

    2. Cause : SHe ate too much

    Effect : She Threw up

    Sentence : She Three up because the are too much

    3. Cause : I ran out of money

    Effect : I can't buy some food

    Sentence : I ran out of money, therefore I can't buy some food

    4. Cause : He is afraid to fly.

    Effect : He never goes anywhere far

    Sentence : He is afraid to fly; therefore, he never goes anywhere far

    5. Cause : After the car accident.

    Effect : She stayed in the hospital for a week

    Sentence : Because of the car accident, She stayed in the hospital for

    a week.

    II. Make five items like part I

    III. Find out an English song and then translate into Indonesian and find the moral value from the
    song.

    Sentence : she ate too much; therefore, she become fat

    Effect : He become object of redicule
    Sentence : He afraid to fly; therefore, he become object
    of redicule

    5. Cause : after the car accident


    Effect : car damage
    Sentence : after the car accident; therefore, car damage

    1. Cause : I was lost
    Effect : I opened google maps
    Sentence : I was lost so I opened google maps

    2. Cause : The road was clear


    Effect : The journey was quite quick
    Sentence : The journey was quite quick because the road was clear

    3. Cause : I am very hungry


    Effect : I eat
    Sentence : I am very hungry so I eat

    4. Cause : They never argued about my decisions


    Effect : we always ended up as a great team
    Sentence : They never argued about my decisions; therefore, we
    Always ended up as a great team

    5. Cause : The neighbor complaints


    Effect : I never play the guitar
    Sentence : since the neighbor complaints, I never play the guitar
