I. OBJECTIVES:
A. Content Standard 1. The learner demonstrates how these elements
(sound, music, gesture, movement, and costume)
affect the creation and communication of meaning in
Philippine Festival and Theatrical Forms as
influenced by history and culture.
2. Theater and performance as a synthesis of arts
and a significant expression of the celebration of life
in various Philippine communities.
B. Performance Standard The learner creates appropriate festival attire
with accessories based on authentic festival
costumes, creates/ improvises appropriate sound,
music, gesture, movements, and costume for a
chosen theatrical composition; and takes part in a
chosen festival or in a performance in a theatrical
play.

The learners are expected to do the following:

B. Appreciate its importance through performing
the asked activities and expressing its value; and

C. Perform different tasks such as :
reciting a creative poem or “Tula”,
create an important object or any accessories used in
Festival dance,
perform a festival dance with their creative ideas of
costumes, props, arts and music. (A7EL- Iva-1)

D. Subject Integration:

These are observable in differentiated activities.


ENGLISH- by letting them create and recite their
own made poem related to the topic.
FILIPINO- by letting them create and perform their
own made “TULA” related to the topic.
VAL.ED- by letting them express the value of
festival dance among Filipinos.
ARPAN- by stating the history of some festival
dances.
MATHEMATICS- by assessing and giving
appropriate scores to the output/ presentation of
other groups.
ICT- by letting them create a slide show
presentation containing their captured videos and
images.
E. Multiple Intelligences LINGUISTICS- through reciting their poem and
Tula.

SPATIAL- through creating an art to their own


made maskarra and own made costume for their
festival dance.
KINEASTHETIC- by letting them perform a
festival dance through their own creativity.
MATHEMATICAL- by participating the
calculation type of review.

A. Reviewing previous lesson or presenting Preliminary activities:
the new lesson  Opening Prayer
 Greetings
 Classroom Management/ Setting of the class
 Checking of attendance

SEMANTIC WEBBING
Ask the students to choose the given words and put
it in the web. The words from the box must be
related on what is asked written in the center of the
web. The students have their own number.

Every correct answer is equivalent to 1 point and


will be recorded to their Individual Tally of Score
(ITS).
B. Establishing a purpose for the lesson CUT PICTURES ARRANGEMENT
The students will arrange the cut pictures given and
they have to describe in front of the class the images
they have seen.

The teacher will show a short video differentiating


Religious Festival Dance and Non- religious Festival
Dance at the same time, the students will observe
and describe something after.
The teacher will introduce the topic and show the
objectives after.
