THEORETICAL ASPECTS OF TOTAL TRAINING - INTEGRATED IN THE

PHYSICAL TRAINING OF THE FOOTBALL PLAYER

Football is played by millions of people in more than 230 countries, making it the most popular sport in the world. The global
influence and the interest it attracts day by day, the growing attention makes it one of the sports games with the greatest number
of practitioners. Many universities around the world now offer dedicated soccer programs. In an organized environment, a major
change has taken place and is still taking place regarding the scientific methods of training football players for the competition.
Football game is a multidisciplinary sport, so they require a contribution from a variety of fields and from a range of specialists.
This discipline studies the application of scientific principles and techniques in order to improve the performance of football. We
are tackling the theme of integrated training or total training, because in recent years, sports games need a bigger share of
preparation for the game.

Introduction

The football game is a multidisciplinary sport, so it needs a contribution from a variety of fields and from a range
of specialists. This discipline studies the application of scientific principles and techniques to improve the
performance of football. The science of football traditionally includes areas of physiology, psychology and
biomechanics, but also includes topics such as skills acquisition, performance analysis, technology and coaching
science.( Bompa et al., 2009).
Integrated training involves the transfer of football in all the means of physical training, in this context the
football player is offered various means, without notice of difficulty of effort and without interference with
monotony. The soccer player must be fast both in balloon situations and in situations where the game requires. It is
necessary to work as much sprinters as during a match so on equivalent distances, in situations equivalent to or
without a balloon, with or without an opponent. But it is very important to work in most ball situations. (Carlile
1995). Due to the unpredictable playing situations, the integrated outfit is useful, which manages to put the player
in situations as close as possible to the game.
In general, coaches and teams that have adopted a scientific approach have been successfully rewarded by
gaining an advantage over rivals. It took some time for the accumulation of scientific knowledge to be translated
into a form usable by practitioners. Efforts are being made to compile scientific information and make it accessible
to the football world.
