School Education Department – Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation
pattern of examination system – Implementation of Examination Reforms for
Classes VI to IX from the Academic year 2015-16 and for class X from the
Academic Year 2016-17 in fullest extent – Amendment -Orders -Issued.

O R D E R:
In the G.O. 3rd read above, Government have issued orders, for
implementation of examination reforms i.e. Continuous and Comprehensive
Evaluation pattern of examination system for Classes VI to IX from the academic
year 2015-16 and for Class X from the academic year 2016-17 in fullest extent in
all schools in the State i.e. Government, local bodies, aided and private
recognized schools.
2. In the reference 4th read above, the Commissioner of School Education,
A.P. Hyderabad has proposed certain amendments to G.O. 3rd read above viz..
for replacement of certain existing papers and minimum pass marks for the
external exams and internal exams, assigning grading for Curricular Subjects,
assigning grading for Co-curricular areas/subjects, for incorporation of OSSC
Main Language subjects, discontinuation of certain papers from SSC Public
examination from March 2017 onwards and also prescribing minimum pass
marks for deaf, dumb and blind students as per G.O. Ms. No. 33, Education
(Exams) Department, dated 19.03.2001.
3. After careful examination of the matter, Government hereby makes
following amendments to G.O. Ms. No.82, School Education (Prog.II) Dept. dated
29.10.2015.

• The following papers are discontinued from SSC Public Examinations,


March 2017 onwards. There will be no examination in Marathi medium
from the academic year 2016-17.

Description of the Paper Subject

2. In para 4 (c), the following shall be read as against existing


provision:

3. In para 4 (g), the following shall be read as against existing provision:

4. In para 4 (g), the following shall be added at the end namely:-

• Minimum pass marks for the Deaf & Dumb and Blind candidates
will be 20 for all subjects in X class as per the orders contained in
the GO Ms No.33 Education (Exams) Dept, dated 19-03-2001. 16
marks will be the minimum pass marks for all subjects in
summative-3 i.e final examination and he/she should get 4 marks in
formative assessment i.e. internals but there is no pass mark in
internals. Overall pass percentage will be 20% out of 100 marks.
The Range of marks for the calculation of Grades and Grade Points
in respect of Deaf & Dumb and Blind will be proportionally
calculated.
• The existing procedure of allowing candidates privately under
‘Without School Study’ category is dispensed from March 2017
onwards duly directing them to appear for Open School
Examinations
• The failed candidates in the old pattern will be given two chances to
appear for the exam in March-2017 and June-2017 only.

5. For para 4 (m), the following shall be substituted, namely:

The Grade Point Average (GPA) will be calculated by taking the


arithmetic average of Grade Points.

4. The Commissioner of school Education, A.P. Hyderabad, the Director,


SCERT, A.P. Hyderabad and the Director of Government Examinations, A.P.
Hyderabad shall take further necessary action in the matter.
