Purpose
• To identify and rectify concerns with the current RATP in regard
to:
o Significant gaps in core and/or fundamental knowledge
o The coherence and progression of content (knowledge, skills,
values and attitudes) within and across phases;
o Content overload or unnecessary repetition across subjects
and grades;
o The appropriateness of the learning/ assessment activities
included in the RATP

Purpose
• To identify and rectify concerns with the current RATP in
regard to:
o The alignment of the suggested informal assessment
activities in the RATP with the content and intended
learning outcomes
o The compliance of the formal assessment tasks with the
specifications for these tasks
o Alignment between formal assessment tasks indicated in
the ATPs with the Revised SECTION 4.

Conclusion

Allow learners to gain examination experience
o Emphasis on language and writing in Grades 10 and 11 will allow
time to focus on literature in Grade 12
Language and writing are to be revised using the appropriate
task
