CHAPTER I

INTRODUCTION

In this chapter will present the background of study, identification of study, limitation
of study, problem of study, formulation of study, object of study and significant of study.
Each of the will be discussed below.

A. Background of study

English is an international language used by almost every people and place in


the world. People who can study English language consider it as their personal
proficient. And nowadays so many people, particularly students taught to master
English language. By mastering English language the students can improve
themselves both of life skills and academic skills. And the last once of the student can
comprehend it, she or he be well-accepted by the life of society.
Nowadays English language is very important part in human life. Like another
languages, when we talking about learn English, there are four skills that should be
mastered to completed communication in English, there are speaking, listening,
reading and the last writing. Because of that learning English is very important to not
only for role as an international language but also its wide use in a range of fields,
such as politics, education, science, technology and government etc.
There are number of ways that can be used to learn English. One of the ways
is through education. Since English might be a foreign language for several countries,
education is considered the best way to learn English. In Indonesia, English is learnt
as a foreign language and as one of compulsory subject that should be learnt by
student especially in the secondary school level like in junior and senior high school.
