1. Executive Summary
1.1. Overview
FocQus Measurements is expanding into the North American continent while drawing on more than a
decade of success in Latin America. FocQus provide measurement solutions that improve the effectiveness
of flow measurement processes and maximize the operational efficiency of daily measurement activities
for oil and natural gas applications.
1.2. Description of Services
FocQus provides Consulting and Information Technology solutions to the O&G market. Our services
comprise measurement consulting performed by technical consultants and development and provision of
customized IT systems to help our clients obtain a complete management of true hydrocarbon
measurements. Our solutions reduce the economic impact caused by diverse problems in flow
measurement processes, from lack of accurate information feeding through the equipment and
information system to inefficient management of metering equipment itself and its operational and
metrological results.
1.3. Target Markets
FocQus target customers in the U.S. include every participant in the O&G production chain, from wellhead
to refineries to distribution. FocQus will therefore be able to serve producers, their partners, engineering
companies hired to execute and distribute production, regulatory/government agencies with an interest
in accurate production data, transportation participants, and others.
1.4. FocQus’s Differentiation
There are companies claiming to help clients manage and integrate their flow measurement systems, but
they are mainly generalist solutions that may not be 100% suitable to hydrocarbon measurement and its
specific internal and external requirements. In contrast, FocQus provides a tailored solution, wherein the
client specifies the end result, and FocQus crafts the full implementation of an efficient flow management
structure. In essence, we act as a partner in detecting and minimizing the economic impact of
measurement errors and/or non-compliance with requirements, offering our clients a trouble-free
execution.
1.5. Management and Technical Team
FocQus Management Team is composed of professionals who have more than 20 years of experience in
metering solutions and information technology applications. Our team has been responsible for metering
projects implemented at national and international oil and gas companies based in Latin-American
countries such as Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia and Peru.
FocQus delivers its consultant services by matching high skilled and experienced personnel to the specific
activity to be performed. Our metering engineers and software/system engineers work together to meet
all of our client’s specifications, while providing technical services post-sale to maintain the efficiency of
our solutions.

FocQus has been providing metering services for more than 10 years, to oil and gas companies, both large

2. Products & Services

FocQus is dedicated to superior hydrocarbon flow measurement management. We supply consulting for
measurement engineering as well as unique information technology solutions that enable the integrated and
efficient management of infrastructure and data. For both liquid and gaseous hydrocarbon flows, our services
empower our clients to meet internal or external measurement rules, as well as to improve time and cost
efficiencies. In essence, we act as a partner to detect and minimize the economic impact of measurement errors
and/or non-compliance with requirements.
2.1. Measurement Consulting Services
Our highly skilled consultants provide hands-on expertise for design, auditing and installation of flow
measurement equipment. They are experts in the field of metering and offer technical support spanning
the full cycle of projects, from engineering studies through equipment acquisition, to testing and
commissioning. We work in full cooperation with production, maintenance, quality, and allocation
departments, to ensure the successful deployment of new metering assets.
Our consulting services are offered through the following tiers:
2.1.1. M e t e r i n g O p e r a t i o n a l M a n a g e m e n t (MOM).
We define and run a skilled metering operation team responsible to supervise and/or execute
every single metering routine in order to obtain suitable levels of functional, metrological,
execution and compliance performances.
2.1.2. Metering Management Implementation (MMI).
We develop and implement management systems designed to help our clients organize their
internal processes to comply with specific measurement requirements and reduce the risk
exposure to economic impacts due to measurement errors.
2.1.3. Metering Project Support (MPS).
We supply specific consulting and execution Services for each implementation phase of new
and retrofit metering projects avoiding deviations from required metering specifications.
2.1.4. Metering Compliance Management (MCM).
We establish and execute audit and inspection programs based on ISO Standards, maintaining
all metering processes in full conformity to internal and external measurement requirements.
2.1.5. Metering Legal Support (MLS).
We supply legal consulting through our associated lawyers who have sound technical
experience in hydrocarbon measurement applications.
2.2. Information Technology Systems
Our Information Technology (IT) division develops and implements customized software solutions that
perform the collection, analysis, processing and distribution of measurement data. Our systems
safeguard the integrity of information streams by routinely integrating the operational metrological
activities that should co-exist with measurement systems.

These solutions allow collection, analysis and validation of raw flow data coming from flow computers
and meters. Our data processing uses advanced algorithms and procedures to ensure an error-free and
on-demand metering database, as well as compliance with internal and external operational and
metrological requirements. The result is an automated and efficient process that reduces operational
costs as well as financial impact of measurement errors.

3. The Problem We Solve

Management of hydrocarbon assets is of primary importance for oil & gas operators, transportation facilities,
refineries, their partners and their investors. Therefore, it is vital to achieve the highest levels of accuracy in
flow and volumes measurement and data management. Too often, production data bear inaccuracies that are
not identified anywhere in the measurement process, which ultimately translates into inefficient asset
management and production reporting. Inefficient measurement management causes significant economic
impact, not only due measurement errors themselves, but also due contractual penalties, often applied in these
cases. We at FocQus are experts in identifying such problems through proprietary data management systems
that automatically flag potential inconsistencies, from field measurement to report generation. We also analyze
