THE EFFECT OFSLEEP DURATION IN THE ACDEMIC PERFORMANCE OF

THE STUDENTS IN MSH

CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION :
Adequete sleep optimally mental functioning and therefore the impacts
of students performanceon examination and ultimately grades received.
The pattern of sleep one experiences in a 24-hour period directly
correlates with physical health,mood and mental functioning, Increasing
public knowledge of the positive effects of adequate aleep and
increasing the proportion of adults.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM


The purpose of this study was to research the effect that sleep has on a
high school students in academic performance in particular,this aimed to
answer the following question:

1.How does the amount of sleep effect your academic performance?


2.How does lack of sleep effect school performance?
3.How does lack of sleep afeect students grades?
4.Does lack of sleep affect exam performance ?
5.why is sleeping important for students?

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY


Teens all over the world need the same amount of sleep, and they
need it at the same times.Yet, it seems as the whole world may be
turning a blind eye to this serious topic. This study helps us to know
the importance of sleep in every student.

SCOPE AND LIMITATION


This study will encourage students to attend their respective classes
ontime or a head of time .this will help them practice the action of time
management that wil surely change their way of living,

DEFINITON OF TERMS

ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE
-Is the outcome of Education – the extent to which a
student,teacher,or institution has a achieved their educational goals.

BEHAVIOR
-In this study, it refers to the students in which one act or conducts
oneself ,especially toward other.
PSYCHE
-In this study it is synonymous behavior and thinking of the students,the
soul,or personality of a person or a group.

TIREDNESS
-The quality of fact of being late,lateness ,implies a situation where an
individual arrives after the proper scheduled or usual time.

RELATED STUDIES
According to MSH SCHOOL,Student is not obtain level of sleep.Due in
playing Moile Legends and the leisure time activities it lead to student
staying up to late part of students staying up late doing homework and
studying,.

RELATED LITERATURE
According to the question that we had sleep is important part of our daily
routine,we spend about the one –third of our time doing it,quality sleep and
getting enough of it at the right times it is a essential to survival as food and
wate,without sleep we cant form or maintain the pathways in our brain that let us
Learn and create new memories and its harder concentrate and respond quickly

RELATED HYPOTHESIS
The hypothesis was formulated and tested at the level of
significance.There are no significant Effect of Sleeping habits on
Education
