    Personal statement 500 words

     Why you want to study Data Science/Analytics at graduate level?

    Being a data analyst has been my child hood dream, the idea of transforming the world at the

    comfort of your house, just excites me. Currently, we all depend on technology to carry out

    most of our day to day activities. Companies rely more on software applications to perform

    various functions such as from medical assistance, loan borrowing, and government functions

    to even job applications.to make an impact in the current world, one must go the data way.

    To improve education curriculum, adopt technology. A data analyst is the real deal in the

    current job market. All sectors of the governments in the world perform their transaction

    online appreciating the roles of the presence of the internets.

     Why you want to study Data Science/Analytics at Warwick university?

    Warwick University is one of the leading universities in the world known for exemplary

    performances in teaching both undergraduate and graduate programs in Data analytics. The

    university is known for being one of the most desired international institution that offers a

    competitive course in the job market. I therefore, aspire to be one of the leading data

    scientists and studying at Warwick will provide me with the life long career dream that I

    desire. the international recognition of the Warwick university data analyst course, enables

    graduates to access myriad job opportunities world wide.

     What particularly attracts you to the chosen programme?

    Informed decisions are majorly made by data analysts. I am an individual who dislikes

    arguments and guess works often used by opportunist to win an argument unfairly especially

    in courts. With data analyst factual decision making are made, that provide sound
    judgements. Big data that seem impossible to handle are made valuable with data analytics.

    With the technological advancement of the 21st century? Data analytics becomes the most

    desirable job for the century.

     How do your academic and professional background and skills meet the demands of

    this challenging programme?

    My experience in handling students budget in 2016, enabled me to appreciate the power of

    data analysis. I am a data analyst’s graduate student of Asian origin. I have done courses on

    data analysts. In my first year module I did Introduction to database design and development.

    Second Year module: Data structures and algorithms and Final Year Module: Data analytics

    and mining. During my programme I have been able to learn Python, java, html, MySQL,

    Weka (tool for data mining). I am currently pursuing my Computer Science at University of

    Portsmouth. With the rise of digital lifestyle, data analyst is becoming more important and

    scarce in the world market. My unending desire to change the world for good ambitions can

    only be achieved through data analysts.

     Where would you like to go professionally with your degree?

    Big companies like twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Amazon, and Alibaba among others, utilize

    data to manage and improve their online business. Data analysts are majorly sought for in the

    data world to help in data management that is used in predicting trade, weather, and

    technological advancement among others. As a data analyst my dream, lies on changing the

    world, ensuring that justice prevails among both the poor and the rich. My favourite

    professor always says, the world recognizes those who make a significant to the less

    fortunate. Previously I didn’t see any sense, but I now realize that in my near future I should
    be able to come up with localised softwares that can allow anyone in the world to access the

    services at the comfort of their homes.
