Development of E-learning System for Philippine Literature Subject of Grade 11 under General
Academic Strand in Immaculate Conception School, Naic Cavite by ARCILLA, MARY GRACE
Information Technology, Cavite State University, Indang Cavite. Their adviser was Ms. Vanessa
G. Coronado
The study aims to develop a reliable platform for fastens learning procedures as
well as new way of approach of teaching in the Philippine Literature subject. This will serve as
an alternative tool of learning to give more knowledge about the subject as well as enhancing the
efficiency of learning. It provides a method that will help the instructor to collaborate the entire
The system has three (3) levels of accessibility, the administrator, instructor and
student. It consist five (5) modules; User Account Module contains the access of account’s user
through username and passwords. Content Management Module consist of lesson about the
subject that is presented through text, images and videos that can view, read and download by the
students. Assessment Module contains quizzes, assignments and activities given by instructor
about the lesson. Collaborative Module serves as the bulletin board of the class. All upcoming
and present events and announcements are able to access and view for students and instructors.
Report Generation Module is all about the compilation list of teachers, classrooms and students
that can access only by the administrator. This module consists the record of scores from quizzes
taken by students that can able to view and print by the instructor.
The Iterative Model methodology was used for the completely progress of the entire
system which include the planning phase, requirement phase, analysis and design phase,
implementation phase, testing phase, evaluation phase and deployment phase. The Planning
organization through interview and surveys, and determining the solutions in details. The
Requirement phase performed the early initial requirements that are important for the process of
the system. When the requirements are distinguished, the Analysis and Design phase performed
the analytical and critical thinking that are used in the process of the development. The
Implementation phase determined that all modules needed is accomplished by the developers
also the documentation. The Testing phase required the software to test all of its functionality.
This is done by the end-user or non-technical and the developers. In the Evaluation phase, the
developers assessed the system if all modules meet the specifications based on the gathered
requirements. The Deployment phase tells the whole progress of the development is successfully
of the Ethics Review Board Application for Cavite State University by Arlou A. Beloria and
Rameses D. Levardo.
The study aimed to develop an Online Submission and Tracking System of the Ethics
Review Board Applications for Cavite State University. The system can be the central storehouse
for the submitted research applications for the ERB. The system can also help in managing and
sorting submitted researches in chronological order. The system can only be used for Ethics
Review Board research applications only. Research applications through the system can only be
submitted by using desktop or computer internet browser. The system is composed of four (4)
modules: account module, file management module, application tracking module, and report
module. The system has three (3) levels of access: Administrator, secretary and researcher.
The development of an online submission and tracking system of the Ethics Review
Board applications for Cavite State University is a great help for the Cavite State University
Indang – Main Campus. The system can lessen the time for retrieval of certificates; submission
of ERB applications can be easier, and inquiring about the status of research more efficient.
The main beneficiary of the study is the Ethics Review Board Office staff and the
researchers of Cavite State University Indang. The study can compensate the flaws and problems
This study made the researchers knowledgeable on how to build an online tracking
system and to improve the accessibilities of every system within reach. This also helped improve
This may also help the future researchers and developers as reference for developing
more innovative and useful software. They can also use this as their related study; this can also
give the future researchers knowledge for them to create a system on their own.
