Since school days I used to get fascinated by aircraft, satellites and missiles.
High flying objects travelling at very high speed used to allure me for knowledge behind such objects. Right from the School , I have a keen interest in Mathematics, Science and research in general. This led me to take up Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as my major subjects after the high school. I chose to do major in Mechanical engineering with an intense urge to delve into the challenging field.
My undergraduate major has given me a wide exposure to interesting subjects
like Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Heat Transfer and Material Science. The interests in these subjects helped me in attaining quite a good percentage of grade during the undergraduate program. It was a rewarding experience as I got the chance to be a part the auto sports team of my college in my third year of Engineering. We had made a hybrid car for the formula hybrid challenge competition and I was the head of the brakes department in the team.
There are various engineering materials which serve for so many important functional purposes. Material Science is an important domain as far as discovery of new innovative light weight and high strength materials is concerned. Fibre Reinforced Plastics (FRP) are such category of materials. I realised the need for pursuing Masters in Aerospace Domain where I can do Research in the domain of FRP composite components.
I am very much interested to do Masters in Aerospace specialization in your
esteemed college. I realize the need for me to study at the center stage of activity in this field at your college. My earnest desire to continue my future studies at your graduate school stems from that it is one of the top colleges in India having fine record of academic excellence and is backed up by expert faculty and research facilities.
The aerospace department of IIT KANPUR pioneered work on development
and application of composite structures technology to design and manufacture of products from aerospace as well as other engineering fields. Examples of such products and application include salinity gates, fan blades, railway toilets, chemical containment and replacements of certain metallic component of MiG 21 aircraft. The other reason why I want to study at your esteemed college is that it provides the kind of expose needed to broaden my thinking. Overall development of the personality can be done and it helps me to broaden my concept. Excellence in any sphere of life can be achieved through determination, hard work, preference and dedication. Yet lack of in depth knowledge of the subject leaves the conceptual skills incomplete. It is in this concept that I would like to do masters and contribute myself in the research field in this esteemed college.
I am clear as to my career aspiration. I believe education is a lifelong process. I
am fully aware that yours curriculum requires that I summon all my resources and I aver that I have the necessary commitment, intelligence and stamina to look forward to do it all. I am convinced that my study at your department would be meaningful and rewarding experience. I especially thank you for giving me the opportunity to express myself.
