1. Dial up the frequency ( Fig.1 )
4. For a signal that needs a modulated signal ( A TONE ) press either the
internal or external FM button. Or both if needing internal and external
modulation. Adjust the black knob for internal 1000hz tone and/or the red
knob for external deviation input. Adjust the frequency of the signal
generator to zero or any desired frequency offset using the FM CAL
tuning knob. ALWAYS RETURN TO THE LOCKED CW POSITION
WHEN MODULATION IS NOT REQUIRED. (Fig.4 )

5. Select the deviation switch to the correct position . For radio use select
narrow.
6. Read the frequency error on the meter. ( Fig.6 )
7.Set the deviation meter or scope range control to the desired setting of
deviation from the meter or scope. Audio quality can be monitored via the
speaker within the unit. ( Fig.7 )
